I came, because I have always liked guns and I wanted to be more up to date on what was going on with our military. I was searching for pictures one night, and I stumbled on this site. I lurked for quite awhile, and then I started reading the off topic forum. I started feeling like I knew some of you guys after reading your posts, so one day I got brave and posted.

The rest as they say..... is history....

I wanted to learn more about the impending (at the time) Iraq war and the way the military works. My family is a military family, but they can't relate to modern-day soldiers. Life Farmgirl, I read stuff for about a month, then got the nerve to post something. People were really nice. Some of the stuff I read here is hilarious. I never fail to laugh out loud at someone's response. There seems to be a real diverse mix of people here, from all different places and ages. I like that.

There are not alot of people I work with that believe in the military, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, and instead of getting in a heated argument, I come here and really dig the love for patrotism, the soldiers, USA etc. Some of the debates are really childish so I don't read alot of the forums, but I do dig the pics of the Iraqis showing love for our boys. Plus it's good to see some of you kids (I'm 27) showing interest in the service.
