It was mainly REMFs in Kuwait who wore Noddy suits, and primarily only during missile attack warnings before the Al Faw Peninsula was secured. Once it was clear that WMD was a myth, even they soon dumped them. Official pics do exist of some combat troops, mainly dismounted Royal Engineers, wearing suits in the very early advances on Umm Qasr and the Rumayla oilfields, but this is very much the exception rather than the rule.

Come on mate, that's being a bit unjust - OK, so our boots fall apart and our rifles are crap, but that's about all. none of this "Great gear, no idea" about our guys - they know what they've got, how to use it and their results speak for themselves.

If only we had the kit that other nations make such a mess of...........

Our NBC Suits are one of the few things that are pretty good.
remember donning one in a hurry in cyprus because of what turned out to be a False alarm.
But there is nothing better than sitting comfatably in a noddy suit while RAF types in shorts and t-shirts are heading for the Horizon :o :o :o :o

In Gulf War I a bunch of U.S. Marines wore Brit NBC suits, instead of American. That said, I HOPE it is a good piece of gear.
