Pic request-M4 with tan furniture (Knights Armament only)-Can anyone please post pictures of issued US M4's in the field with tan Knights Armament accesories: rail cover, forehand grip, A2 grip and tan LMT SOPMOD stock. Not US SOF painted M4's or airsoft, just regular infantry M4's. I don't know the specifics of what you can/can't do to issued M4 in regards to accesories. Thanks.

You could probably change out the stock, sights/optics, rail covers, and sling with no complaints from anyone but I guess that depends on your unit. You could probably get away with more but it is much less likely (still unit dependent).

Thanks for the replies so far guys. And yes, I know about ARF.com-it's great.

Here you go, but its just Krylon paint on the weapon. If there are any tan weapon systems being issued, its Krylon. Have never seen an issued weapon with factory tan parts.

Brian-yes, the M4's just come with black Knights rail covers and forehand grips. That pic is photochopped right?

JVeld-those pics look familiar, I think I've seen them from MSTN. Also, aren't you on ARF.com?

No, that pic is for real....Afghanistan. Yes, at first glance it doesn't look real. It's a very bright photo...a very cool scene. Got it from the army mil site.

This is the closet picture I could find on ARFcom. I think he is just a contractor though.

Just have a chat with your armorer he should be able to tell you what you can do.

Any idea who make the little red dot sight mounted on top of the scope?

Try asking the company that makes them. Other than that I don't know how to make them.

Try Docter and Trijicon makes some now-those mini red dot scopes have been out for a while now. Other companies make them too. And you can get generic ones on eBay.

SOPMOD Block 2 is all tan crap. I'm sure some pics of those will prop up eventually.

He's a good guy, and a total KAC whore.

Former Canadian Forces soldier. Now a contractor. Does some of the best weapon and equipment reviews on the only other BTDT site I frequent. He is the real deal........................eh?

I think that he resides in the southern US now, hence the two flags.

That is most likely a mini red dot in the tune of Doctor, trijicon, PFI, or Burris. you can buy any of those MRD and mount it to a 30mm ring with a picatinny adapter like this one.....http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=209&t=154003

Like shakesFIST said, it depends on the unit. At my unit I've seen guys with tan p-mags and rail covers, as far as rail systems everyone uses the black knights rail system on the m4. Painting your weapon is a no-go here.
