I know that this has been covered in numerous threads because I've read them :), I am looking for a general purpose rucsac for travelling, hiking and camping. Based on what I've read I've narrowed it down to to the Berghaus Vulcan, Karrimor Sabre 80-130L or 60-100L. I'm leaning towards the Karrimor because I may be travelling in some areas where I need the DPM and it seems that I wil be able to strap tents and other pieces of equipment to the pack more easily than the Vulcan.
My problem is that I am living in Spain so I can't physically try anything on or even look at it, when Karrimor say they are PLCE compatible does this mean that you can mount side pockets on top of the stuff pockets? How is the bottom compartment separation on both brands is it set up for stashing a doss bag and sundries? I am looking at either the Snug pack SF combo system or the US GI modular sleeping system
RV have done a nice modification on the Vulcan and with thier rain cover the DPM problem is solved I just can't get a good enough look at the pack to see what attachment options you have for strapping kit on the outside such as a tent.

Any pics and or advice will be greatly appreciated

Cheers,
Chris
