My brother wants to see what they look like and see how big they are. Can you please post some pics of em here. Preferably someone with one to show how big they are compared to a person.
Thanks! :D

The projectile is a HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank) round. When you ask for pics of an "AT-4 HEAT" people think you want to see the round. The AT-4 (M136) is a one time Anti Tank weapon, like the M72. Both are currently in use with the U.S. military.

Is that a fire and forget type missile or is it unguided like an RPG?Unguided, it just "free-flight, fin-stabilized, rocket-type cartridge packed in an expendable, one-piece, fiberglass-wrapped tube" ;)

From the Swedish developers site, www.saab.se/dynamics :
"The AT4 is one of the most successful anti-armour weapons ever developed.
Its high level of flexibility does not restrict its use to combating tanks and combat vehicles but is just as effective against landing craft, aircraft and helicopters as well as armoured vehicles. It can also be employed for protecting fixed defence installations, supply points and other vital assets. All are designed to withstand the tough conditions of the battlefield. "

Cool vids. How come I never looked that cool? Only thing that put me off is that they were blowing up a PBV 301. Enough to make a grown man/armor buff cry...

I've heard that the rounds that the AT-4 fires are the same as the Carl Gustav, is this right ?
I just noticed that it says the AT-4 is rocket-type cartridge.. now while you can get Rocket Assisted CG rounds (and i think alot of the newer ones are also), standard HEAT rounds arent.
Can someone clarify?

If you mean same as in same calibre then it's a yes. If you mean that they somehow are interchangeble I'd say no. Rocket assisted rounds are for improving the range...

No the AT-4 is not a rocket assisted weapon. It is fired from a rimfire powder cartridge. Once it has left the tube the fins are extended and lets the warhead fly towards the target.
