I don't know if I got a problem, but I find it funny when people are dressed nice and get hit by things. Good luck on prom night.

LOL; Prom night (as in dance and all) never existed here in Belgium, we
do have something called "Chrisostomos" to celebrate the last 100 days
of highschool (if you don't fail ;) )
Anyways
We do all kinds of stupid things on Chrisostomos day, mostly making fun
of teachers, getting drunk in school etc. We always have a party before
(to raise money) and a party afterwards (to spend the leftovers)
During the discussions of the comittee that organized it (all students)
some girls said: "OOOOH we want a prom like in the US of A and we can
all dress up and dance and all!"
Because I was opposed to the thing from the beginning, I didn't go, from
what I've heared it was boring as hell + they wasted all their money on it,
the girls all showed up in dresses, most of the guys never owned a suit let
alone a tux so they were dressed in daddy's sharpest looking tweed suit rofl
Another quite stunning thing, my highschool had an opendoor, and in my
first year as former-student I couldn't resist so I showed up, we bump
into our religion teacher, GOD I hate that woman...
Conversation:
-Hello Jan!!!!!!! <wavewavewave>
*Grmbl..."Hello ms Dekens..."
-How are you?
*Fine I guess...
-Still interested in compuuuuters???
*Yes why?
-Yesyes, I often thought when you were here in class "Oh my, Jan spend a night in front of his compuuuter again instead of his bed!"
:-*$ Man that took some self-control, I almost went ballistic!
Anyways back to the prom thingie

Have fun, don't do anything too stupid, and take plenty of pics so you can laugh at yourself in about 30 years.

Nice, in my school it's the usual crap, all the 17-18 year old gilrs have boyfriends of 25, who either still study in college (and will keep doing that for 10 more years), or work at the local factory.
It was sweet though, when the boyfriends come to pick them up at school, you could very distinctively see the group with daddy's beamer and the dudes with the crappy Renault R4. :cantbeli:
It's so stupid, it's like they have a contest for the oldest boyfriend ever. It does make for great humour though, I laugh myself ****less every single time I see them.

Don't do anything stupid. In the grand scheme of things, prom is pretty lame. Just a dance where everyone wears sequins and tuxedos. Cops will out in full force, trying to catch bad teenagers. Save the partying for college.

Prom night? Molly is right - its sort of a non-entity in the grand scheme of things. Have fun, but don't do anything to ruin the rest of your life... it hasn't even started properly.
As an aside... you are still so young, RA? Man, the internet is weird... I sort of assumed most people posting are roughly my age... obviously this is incorrect

Progress report.
:cantbeli:
The party was set up on the 5th floor of a PIMP house (I am not joking here) There were a LOT more ppl then fit inside.
The bar has ONLY one kind of vodka, namely smirnoff raspberry (pathetic ****), and a lot of UNDRINKABLE beer (And I do mean undrinkable). So we decided to bounce for a while. On Times Sq there were CLOUDS of sailors and Marines trying to get some ass. (typical scene: 3 girls on a corner SURROUNDED by 20 sailors  ) So as we (me and my friends) were chillling outside, we met two kids who just got back from the party. The party was raided by cops, and everyone bounced. So we decided to go to a backup party in Midtown, on the roof of an expensive condo. By the time we got there, all the people there were CRAZY DRUNK. THis bitch (and I do mean bitch, more on htat later) was searching for her shoes. She was begging us to find them. After she saw we werent very accomodating after 5 minutes of searching she started arguing with my friends (i.e. she was yapping and he was standing there cracking up) and after she finished her State of the Union speech she bitchslapped the poor fella rofl .
After seeing that it was impossible to have a reasonable conversation with anyone there, we bounced, and walked around Midtown until 4:30 am.
Then we got on a train
Two TRANSVESTITE went in and started asking for money for the ***-change operation. Yeah, great times.
So to sum it up, I drank two shots of vodka at my friends house, ONE shot of Smirnoff, and some beer at the backup party. I came home sober as hell.
So lame.

I had a blast at all my proms. My senior year was the best. I think bc we didn't make a big deal about it. I just wore a little black cocktail dress and went with a close group of friends. We were too cool to do any of the "cliche cheesy prom stuff," we didn't get a limo, didn't drink, got there early, and danced the whole time. Had a blast. Best way to end the school year. Plus, I got to really talk to lots of people that I normally wouldn't have talked to. I was much more aware that I was never going to see any of them again. Everyone was a little bit nicer towards each other and forgot all the bull****.

Thats the way to do it. No sky-high expectations.
Well, we werent really getting a limo either. We came on a subway. But it would have been so much better if we went t an EXCLUSIVE partty, because that party got FLOODED.
