Hello,

i´d like to introduce an internet-Page that may be interessting to some of you.

http://www.camotest.de/gallery/templates/camotest/img/custom/headercom.jpg (http://www.camotest.de)

Acualy the side is only in German but we will also fix an english Version of the Page in the next 2 Month.

The Page is a (Hobby) Photo Projekt where we try to compare over 35 (it will be 40 in the Summer Shooting) different CamoPAtterns ans Colours to see how they work in different situations.

At this time we´ve got nearly 300 Photos online, 500 more waiting to be cut down to size and to be loaded up.

The next Photo-Shooting in End of April / Beginn of May will bring another 800 new Pics.

Every Photo can be popped up in a own Window so you can compare different Patterns (in the same enviroment and situation) directly.

As a teaser:

You didnt inlclude any pics of dirtied up camos.
some cam´s conceal alot better when being dirty (eg ucp)

also i cant spot any pics of camo´s and meadows, or sandyparts.
aswell many are taken in the shadows and not in the sunlight ( i knw most were taken during winter/autumn, but even then, theres some hot light spot here and there.)

other than that, pretty ok

There will be not Fotos of dirty clothes, we try to compare the patterns not the Dirt.

All Photos are taken in Autum and Winter, the Spring and Summer-Photos are not taken yet.

Every "season" Shooting is done on one single day, at the autum Shooting it was cloudy weather, the winter shooting was done on a day with bright sunshine (and Temparatures around zero).

Lets wait and see how the weather will be on the next shootings.

Photos in stoney or sandy terrain will be done on another shooting (when time will be found)

Interesting site. Some of the photos are a bit dark making camo "better than life" but a good and, I guess, wanted site.
Congrats.

From a quick look at the site it shows(once more IMO) how ineffective UCP(ACU) is in forest type terains.
Also shows how great CADPAT is in similar areas.
Best all around camo is, in my opinion, MARPAT Woodland.
Multicam isn't so great in green areas. Best suited for mostly dry terain

Good job. Please let us know as soon as the english version is up.
I can send you some israeli camo to take pictures. It is woodland only non reversible as the mesh is attached to regular IDF bdu's.

I thought the same. ACU sticks out very prominently in pretty much every environment. Which leads me to ask, "What were they thinking?"...

Another surprise was Multicam. I also thought MARPAT and CADPAT were the best.

Nice site btw.

For me the most surprising pattern was RASTR.

Also great: the "good" old Eichentarn.

Another interessting fact is what a fine job the Tropentarn / Desert-Flecktarn and the DK Desert does on a middle-european enviroment in the winter-flora.

Where'd you get those M05 uniforms? Are they original Finnish issue or a copy? I haven't seen them anywhere, and the results of the test just make me want them more....

Nice site btw

Hello,

the M05 is a russian Sniper-Suit. I think that some russian producer just "copy" the original Finnish Pattern.

I took the russian suit because it was impossible to get an original one.

Ooh delightful for once I don't care that a military shamelessly copied another.
