Well, 'mookie' is the nickname of Ben Thomas, who was the BW sniper in Najaf. Even still, I don't really see anything special. How does this rifle compare to the HK 416 and the SCAR? that's the 64,000 dollar question.

The former Blackwater contract soldier and SEAL Team One member Ben Thomas is scheduled to appear on Fox and Friends Friday morning sometime between 6 and 8 a.m. ET to discuss his work as a contract soldier. Thomas was a member of the Blackwater team that defended the Provisional Authority's regional headquarters in Najaf in a firefight against the Mahdi Army that lasted several days. A video clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6Sbeyx76yk) of the spring 2004 action has been circulating on the internet for the past year and it dispels any myths that contract soldiers can't be relied upon in combat.
The interview is a rare opportunity to hear and see a real shooter talk about his activities in Iraq. They usually cling to the shadows. Since I'm currently emailing around to friends, looking for pictures of contractors in Iraq for a website for my novel OUTSOURCED, I can attest to just how camera shy the real professionals are. Thomas is an exception because he was outed by the video clip. We're fortunate for the glimpse into this shadowy world.
Thomas is doing the interview as part of a promo for the National Geographic Explorer (http://www9.nationalgeographic.com/channel/explorer/) this Sunday, January 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT is airing an episode on private military corporations in Iraq.
It's ben thomas.
Interesting thoughts SEALs have about him though.

I know Ben Thomas, however according to the SEAL's he was never awarded his Trident, therefore was never a SEAL, I've personally always got on well with him, and there's no taking away what he and his fellow BW shooters did at Najaf, there's no love lost between the SEAL community and Ben Thomas.
Will it shoot better than any other AR15/M4 variant out there?....I doubt it, it's the guy behind the weapon that makes the difference.

ΜΟΛΩΝ-MOLON-->aorist active participle of the verb ΒΛΩΣΚΩ-VLOSKO (to come).
ΛΑΒΕ-LAVE-->aorist active imperative of the verb ΛΑΜΒΑΝΩ-LAMVANO (to take).
So, ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ means "come and take [it, them, whatever]"
...and yes it's in Greek
PS: Just noticed a spelling mistake on the photo. It's ΜΟΛΩΝ and not ΜΩΛΩΝ

I'd like to know the significance of the Tally, does one feel the need to brag about Kills, if these are indeed "Heads" that he's "hunted" ?
Ben is using the proceeds for charity, which shouldn't be dismissed, the same with his clothing range, the people who would buy this weapon are his "groupies" at GOTX, and if someone want to spend that much on a weapon, beleieving it's gonna make him like a SEAL badass, then let him crack on, the Mike McGinnis memorial fund will be $3000 better off.

I'd heard quite a bit about Mr. Thomas over the years... I knew he was more or less fired from one of the larger contracting companies, but I never knew he'd been kicked off of a SEAL team.
Here's a quote from his web site:
It's truly pathetic that you're cruising one of our websites, likely while someone else is taking your wife from behind at the bar while you think she's "out with the girls." Now be a man... Buy my ****, and confront me like a man someday -- face to face. But at the very least buy a Mookie War Thong for your old lady... Cause my name belongs on her ass, I'm sure yours isn't.
He wins at life.

He was kicked of the TEAM's twice mate, respect to him for getting through BUD/S at such a young age, but his ego was his downfall, and he's not as popular within the SEAL community as he believes he is, he's a fighter, and a guy you'd fight love to have alongside you when the shyt hits the fat, however, he has issues.....I converse with Ben, occasionally, he's always been top notch with me....but I wouldn't buy any of his clothing......

He's got it tattooed on the back of his calf - it does represent his kills and he said he had it done around a day one of his friends got killed, leaving him in a rough state of mind and prompting him to get that tattooed... Paraphrasing his words, I can only remember it being something like "if they got me, I wanted them to know whom they got and that they got one of the best" - kind of like a message, maybe even a taunt to the enemy that might kill him...
I didn't get that bragging was one of his forte's - and I'm certainly glad to hear that his enterprise is beneficiary to a charity, I suspected that from the start... Just better luck/manager with business end of things, that's all

And you guys are stellar human beings for calling him out on it. Wow, glad you caught him. The internet is safer because of you.
Interestingly enough, despite being a real Type A personality who rubs some people the wrong way, he doesn't take himself too seriously and he's always willing to share experiences and advice if it'll help you in any way. And once in a while, he'll pull his scrotum out the bottom of his shorts and trick you into looking at it.

And once in a while, he'll pull his scrotum out the bottom of his shorts and trick you into looking at it.
That rifle is gayer than your attempt at name, or should I say "ball" dropping.

So if you know him so well that you have seen his scrotum, can you tell me exactly how much of this rifle cost is actually going to proceed?
Haven't the foggiest. I haven't bought anything Mookie, but I'm sure if you ask him he'll be forthcoming.
