Our Swedish "friends" FUBAR,, no more Absolut for me...

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/laplaza/2008/04/mexico-reconque.html (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/laplaza/2008/04/mexico-reconque.html)

Mexico reconquers California? Absolut drinks to that!

The latest advertising campaign in Mexico from Swedish vodka maker Absolut promises to push all the right buttons south of the U.S. border, but it could ruffle a few feathers in El Norte.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2251/2383371667_df5fc24e2d.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/newcorrespondent/2383371667/)
The billboard and press campaign, created by advertising agency Teran\TBWA (http://www.terantbwa.com.mx/) and now running in Mexico, is a colorful map depicting what the Americas might look like in an "Absolut" -- i.e., perfect -- world.

Here is Ms Sara's email,, you may want to voice your opinion???

I think Absolut just torpedoed its sales with non-hispanics in the US.

JJBK,

You just did Absolute Vodka a big favor by re-advertize thier product for free.

No publicity is bad publicity.

If it wasn't for your post I would've not known about a silly billboard in Mexico trying to get your attention.

considering it comes from http://militarysignatures.com/signatures/member2512.png
the faq (http://militarysignatures.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=10&Itemid=25)says

A military signature is a digital image that is generated based on your selections. That image can then be used in any digital medium. Some examples are creating a custom forum or email signature. Once you've added your signature to your email client, you can edit your signature at militarysignatures.com and you'll see the changes reflected in your email client. When you go to send an email you'll see your updated image. Your image can also be used to make things such as business cardsso i guess he means to show his service and rank

might i fwd you to this thread (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=131606&highlight=posers)

with the skull head badge.

In 69 I graduated from the SF SCUBA School in Key West,, You received credit but at that time there was no badge.. I'm not sure but I don't think there was even a MOS tag for the course.. As an officer I was a 31542, 3 = SF,, 1542 = infantry..

In the early 70 the Navy SCUBA badge was authorized,,

Not to long ago the Special Operations Diver Badge was authorized to graduates

The school is called the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (SWCS) Combat Diver Qualification Courses, Special Forces Underwater Operations, Key West, Florida

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diving_Badge

Best school ever,, My class was one of the last to use a WW II diesel sub,, the LPSS-315 Sealion. My class graduated in August,, and she was decommissioned in September..

Yes, I qualified for my 1st flash with the 6th Gp and again with the 20th Gp. At that time,, you had to re-qualify each time you moved to a new unit..

Do you post at professionalsoldiers.com?

No, at my age,, I'm more interested in pictures,, I'll leave the heavy stuff to you kids..

As for the border thing, who cares. At the end of the day, they still lost the war.

If Absolut did not taste like sh*t already this would hurt their sales in N. America. This is a very touchy subject for Americans, and I know it is tough for other to get.

Absolut is nasty piss anyway so who cares. Ciroc is the shiz'niz!

To make it look professional. no matter how they spell it. it gives them the feeling that their product is top-class.

You people are really a sad lot,, The awards are real,, I can produce all the original orders, award citations, and DD 214..

But not here and not for this crowd,,

I found www.militaryphotos.net (http://www.militaryphotos.net) via a thread on another fora,, one where the participants are proud of their accomplishments and much less likely to wine and be-little another's,,

I thought I would try the sig block here,,

Looks like this crowd is a little to young...

If you do have awards,, be proud of your accomplishments,, show them..

If you don't have em,, go earn them,,

Or keep your mouth shut,, and if your lucky,, people may not be able to tell how stupid you really are..

If there is a mod about,,
How about deleting this thread,,
I would rather not be assiciated the this rant...

Sorry for my comment, it's just not something usually seen here, but is seen in the gaming "communities." There is so much of that kind of thing around here, added to the fact that most veterans don't advertise their career in such a way. But if you do, as a true veteran, that's your choice and that's fine. Thank you for your service if everything you've posted is true.

I didn't mean to belittle you and I spoke out of ignorance. So, my apologies.

Try not to be offended. They are actually trying to defend people like you who earned their military awards. Their are a lot of online gamers who play games like Battlefield and what not and post their "military video game awards". They were just saying how that's not cool, because it's taking away the value from those who actually earned it, like yourself.

Most respect and honor to you for serving your country and sacrificing yourself for my freedom.

Well said Power Serj.

I am sure James knows who he is. We do have members of the SF community on this forum and if there is a issue I am sure they can deal with it. I don't think any person should be discredited unless it is known for certain they are not who they say they are.

Today the net is small and units have sites that are more than able to substantiate a persons identity with out copies of papers etc. I don't think it is of value for this forum to even attempt to do this. I think being wrong would be are far greater mistake than allowing a person to misrepresent themselves.

I am closing this thread and hope this situation is ended.
