I have this Polish Rogatywka that looks like a wz.37 except it has no eyelets (air holes) on the sides. There are no markings on it and the buckle is missing. I am trying to figure out if it is a cheap knockoff, homemade, or a variant with no eyelets. It appears too well-made to be homemade and it seems strange that a knockoff would be made like this and eyelets not added.
Thanks,
John

This is a replica, not orginal.

I'm curious why the eagle is embroidered not metal one? Obviously it's sewed on from probably beret.

I,m very sorry, but my english is very, very poor.

Besides a message directed to me there's a translation of main points by Józwa H.:

The rogatywka cap presented on those pix isn't original. It must be a replica. Original wz.37 rogatywka was without full lining and antiperspiratory rim (no idea if it's correct - Switek) is probably taken from rogatywka cap wz71/84 "Moro" (assuming from its shade) or wz.89 "Puma". In rogatywka wz.37 the antiperspiratory rim wasn't coloured. An eagle very often was embroidered but metal ones was present as well on rogatywka wz.37. It can not not from beret couse khaki berets weren't used by Polish Army before WW2.
My answer for the eagle from beret is I guess that this eagle is taken from beret used by Polish Armed Forces in the West during WW2.
