I am working on a project for my history class in which I am to interview someone who has participated in a major event (with emphasis on wars) that occurred over ten years ago. I know most of my classmates are going to be doing Vietnam or World War II, and although those are of course important, I would like to focus on a lesser-known war, specifically that of Russia and Afghanistan. Are there any veterans of said conflict here that would let me do a short interview over AIM or email? I'm mostly interested in personal views, anecdotes, etc... I have no specific subjects and anything you would rather not discuss is of course ok. Thank you!

P.S. - Other conflicts that are not well-known are also of interest, I really am interested in a different and interesting subject than the usual WWII/Vietnam/Gulf War thing I understand the vast majority of people usually do. Thanks once again!
