Naval commandos arrested senior Fatah-Tanzim operative Imad Aqubi in an operation conducted this morning (Friday) in Nablus. The soldiers encircled his house for hours before he turned himself in.
Aqubi, who has been wanted for a long period of time on suspicion of being behind a long list of terror attacks, was injured several days ago during an IDF operation in the old city of Nablus.
The terrorist’s house was razed a few months ago, and he managed to evade arrests a number of times in the past.
According to Palestinian sources, IDF soldiers brought Aqubi’s mother to the house in an attempt to exert psychological pressure on him and force him to surrender.
Meanwhile, IDF forces detained 14 suspected terrorists overnight on the West Bank. Among those apprehended were Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah-Tanzim operatives.

Like S'13 said before , she wasnt arrested . She was taken in the place where Imad Akubi was surrounded , to negotiate him to leave peacefully . As always , the caption want to present the IDF forces in the worst way possible , even to extent of falsifying facts . Again , no surprise here, falsifying facts is not a problem , even thought it is hard to grasp for several forum members .

God bless those brave Iraqi Freedom Fighters. :(
... But this **** does piss me off slightly, as if this punk gets shot by the US because he has a gun and is a threat, the militiamen can just take the gun away and say the kid was shot in cold blood
My thoughts exactly...
The child shoots the rifle at a soldier
A soldier shoots back and kills the child.
A militiaman takes away the gun.
Photos are taken of the dead child and stories are told.
The soldier and his country are seen around the world a brarbric child killers.
Bull****.
Did anyone read the following article in the in the Military History and Tactics section:

Here are a few qoutes:
There was a line of women in front of all the cars, and some of them had children with them. I thought they were just watching us get attacked, and then men started popping up behind them firing at us - they were using the women as shields!! It took me a second to realize that. They were standing on the hoods of the cars behind the women and children; it shocked the hell out of me. Then we started getting hit with small arms fire, which sounded like golf balls hitting metal. I started firing back at them but I couldn’t get passed the women; they were all I could hit, and they started falling down. The men turned around and ran back behind the cars to fire.
They both had AK-47s; one kid was about ten years old and the other was about seven. The seven-year old was holding his weapon upside down by the magazine, and the ten-year old was firing three rounds at a time at me. His first round hit the driver's side windshield on the truck - right next to my head. I turned around to grab my gun, and when I did, he shot me two more times in the back; the rounds went through me and into the cab of the truck.

I really wanna see him shooting with that G3 :D, we could place bets on how many bones will be broken and which ones rofl
the recoil alone would kill that kid. He'd probably blame the fact he broke a bone because of this weapon on the americans.
But this **** does piss me off slightly, as if this punk gets shot by the US because he has a gun and is a threat, the militiamen can just take the gun away and say the kid was shot in cold blood
Or it could be that this kid is just protecting himself and his family from the insurgents? Every Iraqi household is allowed a rifle, I believe.
Don't assume this kid is an anti-US fighter.
I'm assuming your an anti-US fighter.

But I dont think she went there on her own will. Would you hand over your kid if you were in her position?
Could be that she didn't go on her own will. But on the other hand she could have been convinced to go because of the simple fact that if her son wouldn't surrender himself, he would either be wiped out by a squad of Naval Commandos or crushed by a D-9...

Former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet (news - web sites) sheds a tear as he gives his last speech as commander of the armed forces in this file picture from March 11, 1998. A Chilean appeals court has withdrawn legal immunity from Pinochet in a move that could lead to a human rights trial against him, a top court official said on May 28, 2004. The ruling was a surprise for human rights lawyers and victims whose previous two attempts to lift Pinochet's immunity from prosecution failed. Pinochet, 88, seized power in 1973 in a bloody coup and led the South American nation until 1990. More than 3,000 people were killed or disappeared under his rule.

The reason I ask these question is that I expect the IDF act professionaly, I hold them to a standard as high as my American brothers.
So dont get your panties in a wad girl, from the offensive response you've given me I highly doubt your very professional at all, you just proved that your an immature jackass, which again leads me to doubt the IDF even more
nice job Javehn.

oh yeah stupid kid has it coming.
No respect for any people or nation who would send children to fight their wars, or use women and children for human shields.
Zero you contradicted yourself....One line you complimenting israel, next your insulting them... theyve used palestinian kids tied to vehicles as human shields to stop palestinians from throwing rocks... so either you quickly lost respect for them.... or u got to stop your line at "send there children to fight their wars"
p.s i know ur talking abou the kid in the pic...but it works both ways as far as the human shield thing you pointed out

lets see the pics of what the Israeli's did.
I heard the Canadians did the same in WW2.
Or it could be that this kid is just protecting himself and his family from the insurgents? Every Iraqi household is allowed a rifle, I believe.
Don't assume this kid is an anti-US fighter.
I'm assuming your an anti-US fighter.
What the hell are you talking about? You've misunderstood my meaning. I'm as pro-US as you can get. :cantbeli:
I was pointing out that every house over there is allowed one rifle, so just because he's armed doesn't mean he's a bad guy. All the caption says is that he's a shi'ite boy. It doesn't say he's part of the uprisings or in Al-Sadr's militia. That's all I was trying to say.
I don't understand how you could take that as an anti-US statement.

hey fox i see your point =D... also thats interesting i didnt know about that one rifle per house thingy....problem is some people see a person with a gun, thats not on there side and they assume "terrorist" right away (speaking in general not of the kid hehe)...but yah i see your point about how he can be defending his home.....mostly if the boy is the man in their family, as in the father past away... and hes the oldest son ..etc etc.. its just hard to tell or to assume anything without knowing his background heh.

Great . This forum becoming breeding ground for kids more from day to day .
So from my answer you understand IDF is not proffesional at all ? Or perhaps it is the fact that i hear accusation like this on the forum from day to day , by people that have no idea what they are talking about , and still make harsh statements . Yes , i am jumpy . Perhas it's the only way people will understand it . After yours every single thread you make with innocent pictures becoming a flame war , come back to me .
And with all do respect , you have no right to tell me who i am . And proffesional as US soldiers ? Are those also the same soldiers who shoot wounded man on the ground , and cheer it afterwards ? Where is the high standart , and sheer professionality ? You have no right to insult me the way you did also .
And if you can deduct something from whati have said , that your deduct mechanism are very ****ed up , or you have a long time to finish your highscool , and i will go with number 2 .
Have a good day .

Washington, D.C. (May 27, 2004) - The U.S. Navy announced that General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, will be one of two defense contracting teams awarded contract options for final system design with options for detail design and construction of up to two Flight 0 Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). It's a good design and a lot of countries are using it. So what. Do you accuse countries of copying the idea of the aircraft carrier or troop transport? No. Because they're good designs that benefit everyone. Get off your damn high horse and stop being petty.

What countries? The Visby-class was one of a kind until the swedish company behind it borrowed one for testing to the US Coast Guard. The US wanted a bigger version however..
Good designs will always be copied and I dont have a problem with that. US and Sweden have a pretty extensive technology exchange and that's just beneficial for everyone. My point was that when China and such countries copy a western design the angle is different from when the US (or any other western country) does the same.
