Doctor: so what seems to be the problem?
You: well Doc, my knee pads just keep falling down! what can i do?! Is there some drug or something you can perscribe? i'm desperate, doc!
:)
take off a few belt loops from an old pair of BDU's, sew them to the back of your trousers at thte knee, thread said Knee pads thourgh, and there ya go, they wont be coming down.
That or scrap them and get Neoprene inserts for your trousers

Those kneepads havent nessesarily falen down at all. I wear mine around my boots if I dont need them at my knees right then. It prevents the sweating and chaffing the straps can cause on the backs of your knees. It's pretty common practice actualy.

I've had to do the same, but I've always limited it to the patrol base or somewhere else non-tactical. Kneepads at the ankles are cumbersome and could trip you up if it hits the fan.

yeah...I wear them the same, easy enough to pull them up when needed. Working as intended.

Buy the Bijan knee pads or the Bijan style from Altama. They secure around your knee with a total of 4 straps. They shouldn't move anywhere.
Also very good if not better is the ArcTeryx (civi and mil version).
The ArcTeryx is so lightweight it'll stay where you fix it.
