I first experienced the internet in 1992 in University of Utah because my dad was their network admin.

Fun fact: BBN first did a "proof of concept" project. Four large computers at four differnt univ (UCLA, Standford Research Institute, Univ of California and University of Utah :D ) were tie together in the first distributed network. I believe most of these computers systems like the Xerox Sigma 7 at UCLA do not exist today.

Sometime in the later 80s. It wasn't the internet per say, but it was a phone connection through a commadore 64.

My family also had Prodigy or something like that in 90 or 91.

My first PC was a 486 DX 33 mhz. It was a powerhouse back then.

Wow, those were the good 'ol day with 256 color graphics!!!!

We went from a Commadore 64 to a 286, 386, then a 486 SX 25, then a jump to a Pentium I 450.

I also spent a lot of time on an Apple IIc.

My first was a 386 but I spend too much time playing crap like this to learn anything worthwhile:

I'd been playing games like King's Quest and Doom since I was 4 or 5 ('92-'93), and found out about the net sometime in the middle of the decade, but didn't really start using it until about 1999.

8-9 years ago so I guess around 1995. That was when I got my brand-new Pentium 166 MMX.. with a superfast 33k6 modem. Yay. Before that the net was still off-limits for me because my 486 SX 25 mhz didn't have a modem. :(

We'd had a computer since I was in first grade (good ol' green screen--lots of Oregon Trail of that baby!), but we first got internet when I was in 9th grade (1995). We had AOL (i.e. "internet for dummies"). We were late in the game, but we had one of the first cellphones. The Brick rules!

Good grief, I don't remember. It was a long time ago, since my dad's been a programmer since 75... so we had a computer and access fairly early on. I was in grade school.

My first computer as an amstrad. Black screen with green writing and all you could do was write stuff. The printer was funkey as well, made cool sounds. Never knew you could have so much fun with a printer.
