Croation mesh shirt

I was watching a show on the balkans this morning, and some of the croation troops had these hooded olive drab shirts which looked like they were made out of sniper veils? Any idea they looked very comfortable and good for arid areas.

It's a Slavic thing, they love their mesh shirts . . .
