this just gets better and better. not random allegations - convicted in a us court.

lol. the head of the bejing olympic committee convicted of torture. i wonder how are the chicombots are going to spin this one?

I liked what the US rep for the IOC had to say:



“What difference does it make?” asked Anita L. DeFrantz, the senior U.S. member of the International Olympic Committee, when informed of the judgment against Liu. “I care very deeply about human rights,” DeFrantz said. “[But] this doesn’t tarnish the Games.”

I liked what the US rep for the IOC had to say:

i know, i almost sharded when i read that. go to the first page of the article, apparently this is embarrassing to the us administration so they're trying to squish it.

I doubt anyone will be interested. Juan Antonio Samaranch was a cabinet Minister in General Franco's Fascist government of Spain. That was just a big 'yawn.'

When meet, I'll be sure to pepper my speech with lots of uses of the word "Chicom", even if it has nothing to do with the particular conversation we're having!

ThERussian: "Yeah, I'll be having midterms at Reed in a couple of weeks".
GS: "Oh, Reed! Well, at least he wasn't a CHIcom!"

The Russian: "Let's get a beer somewhere."
GS: "I wonder they drink chicom beer in Taiwan."

WHile that has nothing to do with what I mentioned, and I fail to see why you must mention the obvious truth (Russia strong that is) THIS Slava I actually know in person. Been to their show many times, highly recommend it.
