I am looking for some ballistic glasses with sun-protection so when I saw these I was interested. I think they are the Canadian Army issue ones. Anyone have experiences with them? Are they available to the public?

PS this is not for any loadout except my own. :)

I don't have any experience with them. I'm a fan of the oakley m frame, hybrid S.

Go with Oakley M frames

They scratch easily, fog easily, and the supposedly easy swap of clear for tinted lenses is a pain in the butt. Get the oakley's.

I have these.

Panoptx Warrior V-Zero Ballistic Photochromatic

They rock.

Great for shooting, great for my motorcycle too. ;)

lol almost everyone in my unit has lost their BEW's at some point. I just stopped wearing them (lost the clear lense anyway)

Just ebay oakley m frames. Make sure you know what type of lens shape you want. This video is the only good thing I heard about from revision

how would one with prescription glasses use these?

wouldn't someone (e.g. section leader) have a problem with use of non-issue gear such as M-Frames?

You'll have to get the prescription inserts. They mount on the nosepiece.

*Section Commander

As for non-issue kit, depends on the unit.

What lense shape would you reccomend? I am just a "hobby" shooter who wants something that protects my eyes and looks fairly good. Is there a specific lens for different activities?

I have a small head, so I had to go with the smallest frame, which is the 'hybrid s'. Anything bigger like the sweep, or heater frames would make my sunglasses look too big. If your a medium build, a sweep frame will do.
