LMG GPMG "Broke down " Lengths?

I'm having trouble getting the receiver dimensions (with barrel removed) for the M60 and M240 family of weapons. I can get overall dimensions all day long but the "length with barrel removed" continues to elude me.

If anyone has those handy I'd be indebted.

It's for a transit case project BTW.

The reason I ask is because I don't have one.

Secondly, yes I live in America. But not every 'Yank' has the disposable income to go out and pick up a class three.

Thirdly, It's sunday... My local Machinegun Emporium is closed today, just thought that someone here might have the info on hand.

You might want to send a PM to Doc Cheney on this forum. I believe he has an FN MAG58, which is essentially the same as the M240. He might be able to help you out.

Heh...Honestly you'd think they'd be open... I can't tell you how many times I've had $30,000 burning a hole in my pocket on a Sunday afternoon, only to be chagrinned at discovering the doors locked tight at "The Emporium"... Sure Crazy Joe's NFA Warehouse is open but they never have the guns I want.
