Yeah, childhood memories folks. Post ones that mean alot to you, ones you want to share, either happy or sad.

As far back as i can remember, it's always been the first time i went into a pub with my mum, when i was 7 in Scotland, having my first half pint of guiness on that same day, aaah... memories.

Share some of yours :D

we used to go sledding down this kids back yard...they had a retaining wall in the middle cause the hill was so step...so we were basicly sledding over a cliff...it was probly only 3-4 feet, but when your 3-4 feet tall at the time it was SWEET

my street curves around to another street, and it basically makes a 1.4 mile loop. and we used to dig a small hole in my front yard, and start from there. and we would tee off, and play "around the block golf". and the first one to get around the block and get their ball in the hole won the game. and, then summer time, little bats always fly over the street at night, so we would get potatoes and throw potatoes up in the air, and the bats would swoop down to get the potatoes. and that's all i can think of right now. but that was great.

Going to Fleet Week when I was about 5 or 6 years old, having a Marine hand me an M16 and nearly falling over under its weight.

Playing kickball in the streets in the summertime. We'd play until the streetlamps came on, then we knew it was time to go home. Such a carefree time.

My mom forced me to give away all my He-man figs when we moved when I was 10 yrs old. I was like Gollum when he lost the ring, "No, my precious!", all bawling and howling rofl . Of course, when I started in my new school some of the kids brought their figs to school I was like: "Yeah, He-man figs, they're cool...if you're six years old!".

I wanted Star Wars action figures and ships from the JC Penny catalog for Christmas and I got a giant Barbie Head with make up and curlers instead.

I remember that giant Barbie head. I didn't have one. My parents wanted us to use our "imaginations." I did have a Mr. Potato Head, though. Otherwise, we had to play outside in the woods.

Heh. It's true. I told my parents not long ago how much those toys would be worth now. ;) I have one of the original movie theater posters. :D

I got a Barbie Penthouse too. One day my mom found Ken on top of Barbie in bed.

She said they started locking the door to their room after that.

I remember none of this.

Yeah, i saw it when i was 7 aswell, and im still petrified of the beach, the only thing that scares the crap out of me is the idea of having to go into that water :(

Well you guys from Oz actually have something to worry about when you go to the beach. The only shark we got up here is like 0.5-1m long at most and nearly extinct as well...

All someone had to do was start humming the theme to Jaws and swim in my direction and I would freak out.

Having my pinky finger smashed by a rock by some kid in preschool who was showing off that he could lift a huge rock. He was like "Look I'm Superman!" and then dropped it cuz it was too heavy. I had to get my nail remove, and then later my mom took me to McDonald's cuz I was so brave. I didn't cry at all.

I cut my head open on a swing set that had a screw exposed. I was swinging back and forth on the see-saw and swinging my head from side to side when the swinging came to a hault when my head hit the screw. *shudder* Stiches, but no brain damage. *twitch* I swear.

I cut my wrist in shop class. I was filing a piece of wood and rammed a long metal file into my wrist. Ouch. More stiches.

I had the corner of my pinky finger blown off by an M80 during Independence Day fireworks. It was just the flesh part so it grew back. I was def and blinded by the blast for a minute or so and wandering around with a bloody hand when I felt someone counting my fingers (I knew it was my mom). heehee No stiches, but lots of bandages.

I split my middle finger open during basketball on the metal knee brace of a competitor. They had to pause the game and wipe up the blood. Just bandages that I couldn't remove for a while or it would split open again.

I was such a tom boy.

I take it you mean the bikini outfit in The Empire Strikes Back and not the head to toe bed sheet in Star Wars.

It's not too late. I can order one online (http://www.leiasmetalbikini.com/members/whatsnew.html)

Remember when you were about six and you actually believed wearing a red cape meant you were Superman?

I had great fun with that until I jumped off the top of a staircase not realising I couldn't fly.

Nearly breaking his back will very quickly change the preconceptions of a small child.

Must be when I walked away from home to visit my 4 years older cousin living about 14 km away "just like that", when I was about 3 years old.
Got my mom dead worried and the whole neighbourhood looking for me.
Had worked away 12 of the 14 k's before my uncle found me and drowe me home.
It was a darkening overcast authumn evening, the rain was pissing down most of the time. Yet can't remember feeling any cold or wet before my mum packed me into a blanket and ordered me to change into a dry set of clothes.
Have loved outdoors life ever since.
