Hope this is the right forum (some big pics, sorry).

Hi fellas, I wanted some help in ID'ing this black cold weather top (in the UK we call them a "fleece", do you?) which the SF guy and Tommy Franks are wearing, who makes it and where I could buy one from, also please ID this small cap these SF guys are wearing (is it an issue item?) and where I could get one from please.

Black Top.

Also while browsing the SF pics, is it just me or does it look like the SF guy 2nd left has a crossbow?

Thanks for your help with this in advance guys.

The jacket looks to be a SPEAR jacket.
I belive they are just regular privately purchased ball caps.
The crossbow would be used to dispatch a guard dog or possibly a sentry.

Looks like the first picture guys are wearing SPEAR ELCS system except the body armor...

The black top looks like a SPEAR (Special Operations Personal Equipment Advanced Requirements) jacket from USCAV. Polartec 300 fleece.

Private purchase ball caps...
The guys in the ballcaps are probably Close protection guys and are all wearing Royal Robbins 5.11 tactical clothing.

Crossbow....

The jackets are called SPEAR jackets and are US issue, dont know if there for Spec Ops guys or regular army but they do look cool, im after one myself, dont think there cheap tho, you can get them from http://www.uscav.com/ over in the states, or try looking through US E-Bay for one, i seen a couple on there.

You can read more about them on here http://www.militarymorons.com/ go to the site map and look for SPEAR Jackets.

Cant really help you on the baseball caps, possibly US Forces issue, should find them in a good US surplus online shop, try the USCAV link i gave you earlier.

Guys you've been a great help thank you, one more thing, i've seen some helmets in a few pics now which look like 'Pilot' helmets but worn by US SF and a similar type used by BBS (I think that's the one) or GSG9 in Germany, they seem to look too big and cumbersome but they must be very good for those guys to wear them. Here is a pic below which has these unknown US soldiers in and the helmet type (can you guys ID this for me please). I will try and find the German helmet on another site but i'm sure you have seen it.
