This coconut was sent home by a 2nd Lt. to his parents. It was addressed and came through the mail as you see it.

Just trying to show that everything does not necessarily have to relate to badge collecting and that can still be considered as being wartime related militaria.
You're right, I must put this in some sort of display case.

i remember posting a coconut home to my local pub from Belize in 1986. landlord was as shocked as the postal service, but who cares, i got a few free drinks when my tour was up

I've sent some wooden postcards from Yosemite to Los Angeles and every single one of them arrived snapped in half - I guess automated postal machines are ruining it now a days.
