STOP SHOUTING.

How many adjustments are you making on the J-Point? You should zero it and leave it alone.

Sorry for "shouting". My original adjustments on the J-Point where fine. however after prolonged use and wear and tear in the field this sight, like all weapon sights require the user to check-zero. The J-Point has a metal screw for it's adjustment with a nylon thread. Therefor there is a constant weak point in making adjustments. This sight, also requires the user to take the sight off to change the battery and clean out excess moisture ingress if required. So no, i don't like leaving it alone, I bloody well make sure my sight is zeroed, check-zeroed and good to go before i head out on patrol. It was a good sighting system however it had a few set backs after some good use.

That looks lame IMO. Just some gimmick for LaRue to make people look more tacticool. Just pick up a new BUIS and be done with it.

You don't need to explain it to me - I've used a J-Point before. Does the mount you have have metal ears that come up on either side? That's what mine had (it rode piggy back on an ACOG) and it was good to go.

Please work on the attitude. Thanks.

I was running this setup, on top of the ACOG http://www.eabco.com/JPTAJPoint2s_small1.jpg

It is a really good set up however I found that the elevation and windage screws wore away after making several adjustments over time.

THANKS FOR THE TIPS ON THE ATTITUDE. opps I shouted. Can we get back to the topic of the Iron Dot.:-(

Did you buy it yourself? I'd be inclined to send it back to J-Point for replacement or repair. It sounds like there might be a problem with those screws...

I've never used that Larue sight, so I won't comment on it. Have a good one.
