Well I was doing some research at my library about American spies who worked for the USSR and I found that two of the most notorious traitors during the Cold War went to my high school in Palos Verdes, CA in the 1970's. Christopher Boyce and Daulton Lee sold top secret material about the US CIA sattelite program from TRW where one of them worked in Redondo Beach. Supposedly they did the most harm to the US spy program than any agents since the Rosenbergs. I guess you learn something new everyday.

Yeah UCLA does suck, so many liberal proffesors and student groups. I'm almost done with my 3rd year there. Only one more to go, less if I decide to graduate early.

Cybill Shepherd. She's a nutcase. She swoops into town and acts like she's some major Oscar-winning actress, when she hasn't been in anything major since 'Moonlighting.' Also, my friend's dad went to high school with her and said she was a major slut. That's all.
Second would probably be The West Memphis Three, thought West Memphis is across the river in Arkansas. Guilt by association. http://www.wm3.org/

Oh, but we still have Elvis, Kathy Bates, Chris Parnell (from SNL), Morgan Freeman, Al Green, BB King, Rufus Thomas, Isaac Hayes, Justin Timberlake, Danny Thomas, Marlo Thomas, Dixie Carter, Ginnifer Goodwin...

Well, "notorious" with a negative connotation? Jonbenet Ramsey's parents. Five blocks away. Yes, I believe they did it.

Otherwise famous people:

Frank Shorter, Olympic Marathon gold-medalist. I went to school with his son, though son and father are somewhat estranged. I liked the son.

Jello Biafra, lead singer of the punk band the Dead Kennedy's. We went to the same high school (though he went much earlier than I did). His parents live two houses away from my parents. They're real quiet folks--librarians by trade, I think. Friendly and soft-spoken, like a couple out of a 1950s sitcom. I've hung out with Jello Biafra in his backyard. That was my 15 minutes of fame, I guess.
