I have a feeling those idiots don't even know what a proper citizen's arrest is (even though they posted the definition of it). You can only perform one if you witness a crime being committed. For example, if you are walking through a mall and see someone run out of a Macys with a bunch of stolen clothes, you have the right to tackle him and hold him down until security or the police arrive. What you can't do is handcuff people and recite the Miranda Rights solely on the basis that you don't like their politics and policy decisions.

Of course, I would love to watch one of these douchebags try to pull this off so I can laugh when they get arrested for a crapload of charges (assault, impersonating the police, false imprisonment, etc.) and/or a good kick in the nuts.

Each state is different in the laws regarding citizens arrest, in South Carolina for example, you have to witness the person committing a felony, or theft, but then the ROE gets a little more relaxed if it's at night. For example, if you challenge somebody suspicious, and they run, you can detain them with any means necessary. But, the law is also very explicit that you may be the one actually brought up on charges. Kidnapping, or unlawful detention, and if you read rights to anyone, or handcuff them, you will be charged with impersonating a police officer. I think this whole scheme is a right-wing conspiracy intended to draw out and subject to charges those crazy left-wing nuts who actually believe they have the right to handcuff and miranda 'war criminals'. haha, this should be funny.

I wouldn't have a problem with the title if it it didn't come across as some sort of generalized attack against roughly 1/2 the US voting population. Some of the guys on here sling the word "Democrat" around as though it were the new scarlet letter. I'm extremely conservative on many issues, and have beef with a good little number of people in the Democratic party (namely because I think they're living in an unrealistic fantasy world, but that's a subject for another thread), but you don't see me crying the Democrats are doing this, and the Democrats are doing that, because it's a crock of sh*t. These nut balls no more represent the Democratic Party than the Klan represent the white population of the US. These idiots just call themselves Democrats and then go about life living their delusional fantasies of them engaging in some war against conservatives (oh and for those of you wondering if one of these fools actually tried to put there hands on me I'd probably pump them so full of lead they'd be mistaken for a pencil).

Apparently you've missed my point completely. If all you wanted to do was warn other board members to be on the look out for these whack jobs, then you would have just posted the article.
