The poem is the reflection of the reality through the eyes of a child raised and educated in a free school system in a democratic society. Instead adressing the problem the arabs, as usual, choose to react using the democratic tools of a society they want to destroy against the system that grants their rights. Once again the arabs donīt want to look at themselves in the mirror.

This kind of demostration against racism is not common at all in the arab world, one of the most racist societies in the world, which means that it is a political tool to advance their agenda. Like when they protest for the "racial profiling" in the airports without admitting that the West is merely defending itself from a very notoriously identifiable threat. It is a strategy to prevent democracies from defending themselves.

You really believe the teachers in Israeli Arab schools educate for democracy, equality, etc...? The teachers belong to the Islamic movement, same people that hold Hamas flags in their rallys and that their leader was in jail for aiding Hamas.

The child who wrote the poem is being educated in such a system. As for the auto-segregated, therefore really racist, arab schooling system, they are free, unfortunately too much free, to choose their curricula because the democratic, jewish, Israeli society grants them this right. If you choose to have the ennemy inside, thatīs the price.

Every action has its price in democracy, they might create Arab students that are anti-Israeli though this will only lead to more discrimination against them by the Jewish residents. They are digging their own grave.

I think they are digging the grave of democracy. Racism, (even if it is auto-) segregation, fascism Islamic style have no room in a democracy, if preemptive measures are not taken, with the laws in the hand, later violence will be unavoidable. Beside Israel is a democratic JEWISH state, granting equal civil rights to the "gerim" (strangers who live in the land) doesnīt amount to let them impose their views as if they were distinctly sovereign. Weīre trying to "force" the other side to admit things (Israel as a jewish democratic state) we do not enforce.

Its always the race card. Im so over this sort of talk. We had the same issue in Australia recently when they wanted to build some massive Islamic school out in the country (I dont know why they would want to out there?). Anyway, the townspeople rallied together opposing the school and the usual race card blame was tossed about. But it was argued that there were so many different cultures living in the area such as Greek, Italian etc, they just didn't want to have a Muslim school, so how is it racist?

Anyway, the appeal was won and the school cannot be built there, but the question lies is "why would you want to build a school somewhere where nobody wants you?"
