The girl had taken her father to Quebec Superior Court after he refused to allow her to go on a school trip for chatting on websites he tried to block, and then posting "inappropriate" pictures of herself online using a friend's computer.

Mind-blowingly stupid decision, at prima facie. There could be more to this, obviously, but as things stand, rate this particular decision R for retarded.

Just overturning the grounding! That's not enough. I think she needs some damages to compensate for the injury incurred BY THE GROUNDING! You with me hank?

Hopefully, they will soon hear Mark Steyn's case. But with this kind of nonsense, I won't get my hopes up. WTF is wrong with the legal establishment in this country?

why doesn't the govt let parents do their job (what laws were really broken, and how "inappropriate" were the pics ?). next thing you know govt will try to control our lives (oh wait it might be too late).

I'm betting the court was more upset with the 12 year old not being in school than the father's grounding the child.

Clearly. Pain and suffering, loss of companionship, etc. I see a big verdict.

Stuff like this makes me shake my head. There has to be more to the story but WTF?
