The Hk416 is basicly an M4 with a G36 short stroke gas system right? Does that make it better than the G36s or is the G36 still better?

The Hk416 had stopages of 230 (not sure) at Yuma but I've never heard of a G36 having stoppages.
So which one is better?

Simple, whichever you're trained on more.

Pointless thread. "Versus" threads are usually horrific car crashes of ill informed crap.

I heard it was 310 at Yuma.

the hk416 seems the best option to retro-fit and modernize the m4/m16 we have ample supplies of. it would be more economical to minimize costs as well as already having servicemen/women already sufficiently trained with this weapon system, increasing reliability also increases morale of the user in confidence of their weapn.

wonder if DOD did an estimate of the cost to retro-fit all (or majority of current m4/m16's into hk416/417) instead of spending loads more money to develop /adopt new weapon.???

g36 is also a fine weapon with alot of positive attributes. alot of the features should be adopted, such as transparent mag, as well as ambidextrous controls.

STFU bitch! This is what the forums were created for! Just 'cause you a SCAR hater. SCAR-L > HK416.

Though, the XM8 does look better on my MGO character...
