Guys,

What is the best way to put a ww2 looking rifle wrap on my Mosin-Nagant 91/30 sniper rifle?

I've been trying with burlap and normal cloth, but I can't seem to figure it out... Maybe one of you has experience with this sort of stuff.

Cheers

Jute, as in old grain sacks/bags.

Like Jippo said, jute. You can pull the individual strands out of the burlap, and bingo, jute. Some burlap is too weak though, and will tear apart. (Like the mats that gardeners put grass clippings on)

I used thicker pieces of jute to tie it down to the rifle. I've done it a half dozen times with varied levels of success. Best thing to do is find a local vine or something that is strong enough to tie it down, wherever you hunt, or whatever. YOu'll end up fixing it often.

Thanks, I'll give it another try.

I was thinking in these lines:

Jute can be easily coloured greenish by rubbing it in grass, on top of which you can use charcoal.
