I need help on a rifle I just got. I can't find anything on it!!!!

It's the Yugo m90 in .308 which are rare enough but after searching and searching, I can't find anything on a SIDE folding version!! I was wondering if this may have been put on here when imported by Mitchel Arms or is it an original Para version which someone sugested?

I have the scope rings but no scope, here's a pic of my wife showing it.

Yeah, it looks like the stocks people like to use as a replacement on the polymer Valmet stocks.

Ya'll think the regular Yugo AK stock'll fit?

I'll try tomorrow, I compared 'em and looks like it'll work!

Hey, we should start a Wives and girlfriends showing off uniforms, gear and weapons thread, Huh?

you know dude, i think that the galil-ish stock really complements the rifle, does it not work well with the .308?

There is no side folding version, Zastava Arms produces these versions....

But i think the Galil stock looks great on it.

Yeah, it does look pretty cool. If you replace the stock, you should atleast keep the folder and maybe put it on another AK.

No don't get me wrong guys the stock works great with the weapon and feels great. I just like 'em set up the original way.

No I understand, I'm kinda that way too. But still, that's a nice stock, and I'd keep it somewhere so I could use it in the future.

You don't understand how jealous I am right now. Just being in possession of that rifle where I live (Kanada), would net you, like 8 years in jail. Oh, and any mags are capped at 5. Hooray!

Sorry for the waist of time here! Really don't know why it took me this long to figure this one out, too much boozing lately's affecting the few brain cells I got left! I guess! All I had to do is swap out the stock from the regular Yugo AK. did'nt think it was the same size but that's what I get for trying to think, right! Anyway here's what it looks like now! Now to get another stock and put my other baby back together. Ain't they prrrty! p-)

Next problem will be finding an original Yugo scope! Don't think that'll happen, but any ideas where to look. The .308 mags are also a bitch! When available they're high as hell!

Lol, you should check out Valmet 223 mags. Those are really expensive, and run $100 at minimum most of the time.

The scopes for the Yugo M76 sniper were made by a Bosnian factory called "Zrak".

http://www.zrak.ba/

There's no direct link but you can find it under ...military products, snipers optical sight...

It's the ON-M76, good luck with your search.

It's the Yugo m90 in .308 which are rare enoughIt is 7,62-mm (7,62 mm x 51 NATO) Zastava M77 not M90.
I can't find anything on a SIDE folding version!AFAIK there are two versions of the M77 with folding stock M77 AX (see pictures below) and M77 BX.

That's what I've known them until I got this one, but my rifle is marked M90 over the M77 marking.

Thanks for the scope link bro!

Now for the other question that's got me curious. As REMOV said, I've known tbese as M77's, why would this be markes M90? Is it just the imported version name?

hate to add to the confusion but all the info im finding on the mitchell yugo m90 is 7.62

edit- apperantly mitchell imported the m90 right before the ban in a 7.62 model and a rpk that they still labeled M90- but in .308

Right, M77 - .308 and M76 -8MMIn fact is a little bit complicated.
M70 assault rifle, M72 automatic rifle and M92 carbine are fed by 7,62 mm x 39 cartridge
M77 battle rifle and automatic rifle are fed by 7,62 mm x 51 cartridge
M76 sniper rifle is fed by 7,92 mm x 57 cartridge
M90 and M95 assault rifle, M82 automatic rifle, M85 and M99 carbine are fed by 5,56 mm x 45 cartridge.
I actualy have the M77 but again it's marked over as M90?In my opinion is just a name the Mitchell markings not the original ones. There were Mitchell Yugos M90 in various calibres like 7,62 mm x 39, 5,56 mm x 45 or 7,62 mm x 51.

Not confusing at all, that's just what the rifles are, like the AK47, AK74, etc... But good info for those who don't know, I should have been clearer, sorry if I through you guys off a bit.

I totally agree, that's what Got me confused and as I said that was my theory to the M90 deal?

Thanks for sumerizing it up though, I apreciate all your help guys. I'm an american Serb and been interested in the history and collecting Yugo militaria and weapons and equipt. a long time, but this folding stock thing had me stumped more than anything!

Hvala!
