Still a sad story,no bravery there, despite all the initial reports, apart from the rescue!!
"The first casualty of war is the truth!"has a significant ring to it

I would still like to wish PFC Lynch a speedy recovery, and hope that now there is no "Hollywood" scenario, she's allowed to recover from her ordeal and move on with her life without the media's intrusion!!

I could never understand this hero ****.
Their unit took a wrong turn and ran into a superior fighting force and lost.
only the western media could make you a hero for doing that.

Its not like Private Lynch has said anything on the matter at all So drop the she's not a hero crap.
they were mechanics got sent the wrong way and tried there best to get the hell out of dodge when it all went to ****. The media built her up and are now trying to bring her down. The rescue may have been over the top given hindsight But unless SOCOM have figured out a way of watching next weeks CCN broadcasts before launching a mission you expect the worse the hospital was in enemy held ground at the time.

Ya I find it really really stupid that just because some iraqi informed them that Jessica was in the hospital and that there were no enemy there, that we were suppose to just walk in without a worry?
