You're right about that point and it is very unfortunate. I think that this case had a young caucasian girl missing, a high cringe factor ****** angle and it happened up here where there are under 10 murders a year. I understand why local news has been running it endlessly but I think sensationalism had a lot to do with the national news picking it up...

Yeah race isnt my main issue here really... it's more of gender and beauty is what I notice factors in the level at which people tend to care more. Most young girls will get headlines....boys less.

Debbie the MILF soccer Mom will get more headlines than Jaunita the cleaning lady.... despite the fact Juanita is a human being with the same hopes and dreams Debbie had.
