Sorry, but the first thing I thought about was the stance too. I'm over sixteen x 2 and my experience with shooting comes from more than looking at pics on the internet. Anyway have fun with it. I have friends that just like to go out and shoot informally as well.

As far as the shooting stances comments go; All I can say is that if you do teach yourself better stances you won't go home wondering why you can't improve your accuracy and you won't wander why your arms hurt so much after shooting.

Question: What kind of light was that on that M-4 (or M-forgery as my shooting buddy calls them), Surefire?

Sorry, but those pics reminds me a bit too much of those local Lebanese milita boys wanting to show off in my VCP with their "***** extensions".
Same taste for endowing their guns with flashy gadgets , and surely same sense of adolescent indiscipline too.
Am aware many here have a "so fun" attitude to guns, but to me guns are serious stuff you treat "carefully" in every sense of the word.

I think Pooterman is the "fatty white slob in white" - that's why he talks
so much smack...

It's just a bunch of photos but they are rather scary. First of all - this
is obviously not a designated area for shooting and in some backward
areas of the US it's okay, but do I see something remotely residentual
in the background of one of the pic? I see a roof, lightpost and a shape
that reminds me of a billboard?

Secondly - I don't see any dirt mounds, walls or natural rock formations
around you in the picture - there better be some natural obstruction
that stops bullets from travelling down range.

Third - it's called eye protection. And crumpled paper and cotton balls
are not called hearing protection either.

Lastly, **** like this is the main reason why firearms are on the brink
of getting banned in the States - have some respect for the common
safety laws and make sure that we can all have some clean fun!

No, I just don't have the glee factor with guns. Particularly not with assault type weapons, who for me strictly is "on the job weapons" for military and police, and "not toys for having some fun behind the barn".
Though to do well on the range or coming home from the mountains with some grouse in the backpack (neither of which I experience very often I must admit :D) can be quite satisfying indeed.

Sorry for starting the flaming this thread, but there was something in the mentality of those photos, particularly that "up yours" pose that did not strike a chord with me.
Having a few unpleasant experiences involving teenagers and/or young males with guns back then, maybe have something to do with it.
Though guess these guys yet have some way to go to compete with the lax weapons safety attitude of some of the local SLA militia I encountered.
Remember one guy in particular who used to drive around with a handgrenade with a tampered safety pin. The nice thing about that handgrenade was that the guy could arm and throw the thing with one hand, as by just tilting the pineapple over what was left of the "safety pin" would just slide out by itself :D.

Frankly im sickened with the demeanor of the topic starter.

Based on the photos and his posts hes downright reckless.

I dont mind people having a gun or many guns or powerful guns.

But what i do mind is people who do not have the discipline to use guns properly, the training and certification to use guns properly or the attitude of a person who i would want using a gun around me.

Firing weapons is a dead serious thing (no pun intended) and it should always be done in the safest possible environment with accuracy.

These photos give me an image in my head of Cletus Shackleford of West TumbleWeed going behind the barn and shootin at some cats with the scatter gun.

Pooterman, you need to calm down and heed the advice of the experienced gun owners on this sight, I'm sure some of the guys on here were shooting way before you were a twinkle in your Fathers eye?
This is my second year of owning firearms, I've shot before when I would visit my family in Indiana and had a basic understanding.
I moved to the US 8yrs ago and at that time didn't believe anyone should own firearms then I was un-brainwashed and saw the benefits, I've only had one misfire(I intend to keep it that way) luckily the gun was in the direction of down range but I didn't enjoy it. So understand I'm in my mid 30s I have a Wife, Dogs, House, Two Cars and all the responsibilties that comes with these so please get of your high horse thinking everyone on here is younger than you!
I will say I like the firearms being used in your pics!

If you posted a pic of you and your friends at a range, wearing proper safety gear with some semblance of organization and reasonable care, then you'd be right to complain.

You seem to certainly understand that guns are a hot button political topic yet you show pics of you and your "buds" acting like jackasses with loaded weapons.

Tell the guy with the AR-15 to extend the stock and if he's going to use a bi-pod take up a proper shooting position on the ground. His groups will certainly improve.
