The Royal Guard has long been known as a unit who does nothing more than spit and shine and amazing drill. It's only in the last two or three years they have started to emerge as a respectable fighting force within our armed forces IMO. They still have some way to go before they are at the same level as the other infantry battallions, light and armored. Until then, these videos are for the most photo OPs for recruitment. They may look cool, especially with a hard Rammstein track added in, but don't forget that they've only been doing FIBUA for a short time, and that they still have relatively young and unexperienced NCO's and soldiers.

You to love Du Hast!
It was a nice clip.
That rifle they are using was a bit too long for house cleance in my opinion.

AG-3. I've seen pictures of these guys with MP5's, but I suppose they get issued the rifle.
Are they responsible for protecting the Royal Family now, with their FIBUA role?

The Garde, is actualy NOTHING compared to the other infantry battalions.
Telemarks Battaljonen are the ones who make pros at SIBO.
Will try to post some other SIBO video's ;)

I have seen better but it looked OK. I have been soaked in sweat numerous times doing it, but its always a blast.
No G3 isnt that good when you clear or search rooms and buildnings, takes to long to get barrel through the door so to say. But on the other hand you could just as well fire through walls with it. Your eastern brotherland used it in their urban warfare coys, but they have now switched to a compact version of the Ak5 (FNC).
I have a real awsome video from those boys somewhere, probably to big to upload though :( .

During my time the storm trooper squadrons of the cavalry used to be quite well trained. Particulary the one attached to the armoured battalion of Brig N.
As I remember service with the storm trooper units tended to attract a good bunch of "rough diamonds", both among the conscripts and attendants of the Cavalry junior leadership school (BSK) + during training they seem to have been ingrained with the same sort of "we shall always do more than the "quack-quacks" (any soldier of the other branches limited to wearing field caps) spirit" as us Recons.

Weapon drills.
The Garde are known for their drills. They often perform at the Military Tatoo.

Forgive me my ignorance, but what opera/music piece is that from? The Carmina Burana is a cantata composed by Carl Orff. The cantata is a musical composition consisting of vocal solos, choruses, etc., often with instrumental accompaniment, used as a setting for a story to be sung but not acted. O Fortuna is the first piece of Carmina Burana.
