Interesting to see what looks like the first improvised truck armouring.
Perhaps trucks with improvised armour a'la the convoy escort trucks of the Vietnam war era will show up with time / have shown up allready?

Hope your brother stayes safe.

Yep guess you're right there.
Sort of trucks with armour/boiler plate welded on.
Read some article somewhere abouth them once.
Think some of them were pretty well armed also.
And they seem to have fit their specific mission quite well.

I don't know where my cousin is currently stationed at. He could be in the same place or different place now. I have not been able to communicate with him for several weeks now. What he does in Iraq is Quarter Master stuff such as setting up showers, but in addition he is also serving as infantry guard. He helps protect convoys and patrol around base some times. I was born and I live in the U.S. by the way. I'm just showing my support for my ethincity. I'm 50% honduran cause my mom is from Honduras. That's why my username is what it is and I have that Flag animation. I plan to join the army in the future. Either by going to college and joining ROTC or going to West Point. Either way. Just as long as I get commissioned as a 2nd LT. West Point I prefer cause tution is free plus you get a $600 salary each month for expenses like food and other things. O and thanks for supporting my cousin guys! :D

If you need some "tour" guides let me know, some of the boys with ears to the ground in Sadr are very close friends.

On the note of cousins and Baghdad, my cousin's husband is off to Baghdad soon. They're newly married so I'm not too sure of his name! (not met him, obviously!) But he's ex army and off doing some contracting work.

He was in some small town in Iraq but now he and his unit got transfered to Baghdad. His unit is the area where Sadam Huessian is being held at.

No disrepect to the guys, but this looks like rear echelon people trying to look like front-liners...

Yea; those 92Y are seansoned combat vets...I mean, just look how the 3rd guy in the stack has a spare mag taped to his stock with 100 mph tape.

Also note the tactical stack that also happens to be angled just enough to get everyone in the picture.

We all know that its a staged pic, and we also know what meant by Steve.

And I agree with him, they look like logistic staff trying to look like their main role is to close and kill the enemy.

...

Every one who is in Iraq has a chance to be killed or injured. My cousin has not been harmed so far and I hope he wont be in Iraq. Other members of his units though have been injured by enemy motar fire. They got so badly injured they needed to be sent to Army Hosptials in Germany. So don't be a dumb ass who doesn't know what they are talking about.

No, I don't know what you mean. I've been in for 6 years and I still don't know "rear echelon people trying to look like front-liners..." or whatever the hell you said.

So tell me, what do "front liners" look like? Do you have to wear pimp hat, gold chain and mohawk haircut?

Do "front liners" look like this?
