Your post made me think something about mergers... Someone i knew ages back sooked about the merger.... We have a Fiat 850 (IIRC) for the lucerne, and a Valpadana for the hillier stuff.
1980s
Ford was a major player and its tractor division had been responsible for a number of industry innovations, including the use of power hydraulics, rubber pneumatic tyres, diesel engines, and the 3-point hitch.
1986
Ford bought Sperry New Holland and formed Ford New Holland Inc.
1991
Fiat, who had acquired Braud, purchased an 80 per cent interest in Ford New Holland and the full integration process was completed at the official launch of New Holland at our worldwide convention in 1994. Under the ownership of Fiat, - through CNH, the sector born in 1999 from the merger between New Holland N.V. e Case Corporation - it gained access to unprecedented resources, which enabled the company to follow an aggressive plan of product renewal and take its customer service to a new level.
Today
New Holland is a world leading agricultural equipment brand, offering the widest range of tractors and harvesters to suit the needs of every farmer and contractor on Earth. It’s one of the most awarded brands for ground-breaking technology. And, most of all, New Holland is the innovative, dynamic and smart partner, people who cultivate a new idea of agriculture can always rely on.

The bogan is closely related to many regressed elements of our society.
Singlet yes, wifebeater.
Thongs = flip flops
Won tunna = A one tonne ute, but like a 1/4 tonne US pickup. That one looks like a HQ holden ute. http://www.classicholdencars.com/tag/hq-ute/ Check out this site -> http://www.bogan.com.au/
But the thing they need, are flanellete (checked) shirts. Key bogan attire.

It was interesting, about one of the battles at Eora Creek (i think it was Eora), where the Aussies were fighting uphill against Japanese positions. They were taking a bollocking until one of the Australian platoons, or might have been squad sized group flanked the Japanese. They left five Aussies there, hence the return to the position. My younger brother walked the track last month, ill see if i can get some photos.

SYDNEY (AFP) -
Aussie man punches shark, surfs to safety
An Australian surfer fought off a large shark and then rode a wave to safety, reports said on Monday.
Michael Bedford was knocked off his board by the shark, believed to be a great white of "Jaws" fame, which then came back for a second charge, witnesses were quoted as saying.
But he punched the animal and then caught a passing wave to the shore, where friends used the board's rope as a tourniquet for bite wounds on his leg.

Lets here some stories regarding what you learned and experienced from your walkabouts.
Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong
Under the shade of a coolabah tree,
And he sang as he watched and waited 'til his billy boiled
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me"
Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me"
And he sang as he watched and waited 'til his billy boiled,
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Down came a jumbuck to drink at that billabong,
Up jumped the swagman and grabbed him with glee,
And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck in his tucker bag,
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me"
And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck in his tucker bag,
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Up rode the squatter, mounted on his thoroughbred,
Down came the troopers, one, two, three,
"Where's that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tucker bag?"
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me"
"Where's that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tucker bag?",
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Up jumped the swagman and sprang into the billabong,
"You'll never take me alive", said he,
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong,
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me"
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong,
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me."
"Oh, You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me."

Only times I've ever seen it was when I was in the UK. If I drink Aussie beer, I go for Crown myself (which I am told makes me an Adelaide loving w-anker). VB or Victorian Bogan is acceptable if there is nothing else to drink. The Swan range seems to have been made for people who hate the taste of beer. There's something by Carlton (I think) which I have recollections of being quite drinkable.

I'm working in remote South Australia, we're limited to 4 minute showers. Adelaide water tastes like muddy water. Much like West End beer. Crownies are so turn of the century and if you don't like Swan or Emu, you probably sit down to piss. ps. This is typical fear for my countryman I remember some documentary about czechs visiting this country. Local quide told them that they can be eaten by aligators near house. Our old ladies get near to heart attack after that screaming how this can be legal to in live in such a country :D
Yeah sounds about right, well I sometimes wonder how we even live here, a few weeks back a drunk guy decided it would be a good idea to jump into the enclosure of a 15 foot crocodile and he got out with minor cuts and bruises.

I got bitten by a RED BACK a few years ago. Didnt bother me much till i got home and rested on the couch, felt like someone turning a knife inside my bicep for hours.
Some D Head at the hospital told me to immobilise my arm in a sling. Turned out i should of done the opposite.

You are actually lucky. Having some wilderness behind city is not bad thing for funny weekends or just camping. This reminds me one of my friend who had Austrian as rommade for one semestr. They planned short trip for weekand and this Austrian asked what he should whatch out in local wilderness roflhe couldnīt believe that there is nothing what could bite him or eat him. At the end he came up with bears, which my friend replied "well, if you make it through 100+ zoologit observing one little bear when he for one minute cross border with slovakia, than yes."
I would like to once visit Austria or New Zealand. Must be amazing travelling such a large and diverse countryside.

They bite, trust me.
I used to play a trick whereby I would put a huntsman in my mouth and then go up to someone and open my mouth letting the spider crawl away. On about the 5th time I did it, the spider took offence and decided to bite. That said, it didn't hurt that much and I didn't receive medical treatment for it.

No doubt, still from central european perspective such a large, diverse, uninhabited and wild country is catchy. I know a lot people who travel to Russian far east and similar location to do some real tramping. They often meet here germans or dutsch who feel similar needs. When I will get some time and money this what I would like to do too.

I hate the cities, but I'm from the country anyway, the Australian outback is a harsh and rugged land, the outback is deadly as it is bloody huge and resources are slim out there. You have to be prepared for it. That being said, the danger adds to the rugged beauty.
If you want to do Australia properly, you need a few months, maybe a working holiday visa if you think you will need to resup to cash fund...
Plenty of jobs picking fruit and other rubbish jobs that you can do for a few weeks.

I have respect to wilderness. There are millions thinks that can go wrong so preparation and basic for any visit to such locations. But as you said, danger adds to beauty. When I start some trip in countryside here, in ten minutes i am in another village. There are nice mountains which are to someextend free of people but nothing in comparison to what can be see in other places.

its Southern Austria mate, and Sydney is good for a week I feel. I had some Finnish friends come over and they saw most of what Sydney had to offer in 3 days. the city has some history in it, the Blue mountains in NW Sydney area are nice, theres a few other good things to see but the city doesnt really have the same atmosphere you find in the inner suburbs of Melbourne or other places
theres alot of history and culture in rural areas, like Bendigo, Beechworth, Glenrowan (the last two are Victorian High Country - AKA "Kelly Country")
but thats down south in Victoria :D

I am looking forward to visit Austria once. It will be tough to decide how spend the limited time (I donīt expted it gets better in future regarding this). To say truth, Sydney itself donīt attract me much. I read somewhere that there are better places to catch local ("Australian") atmosphere. Some frined of my father liv near Sydney and are said to consider it rather boring city (no offense to anyone who live here).

We get wolf spiders in our house regularly, I pick them up in my hands and put them outside. I have a funnel-web spider I caught in our kitchen ; he's in a jar of isopropanol on the counter of my workshop.

Yeah it's large but it can get monotonous. The Nullabor, for example. Hundreds and hundreds of kilometres of this.

I have question regarding travelling of locals. What is the most popular means of transport on long distances. For example from Western Austria to New South Wales? I am now looking at google maps on some Austrian Cities. Perth has nice suburbs. What percentage of population leave in apartment houses?

Personally I want to own a farm with high ground that has good arcs of fire... :D

Depends how much time you intend to spend bushwalking and/or camping, if minimal you shouldn't see any other than the few you crush under your tyres as you cruise up the East coast. Mexico is quite nice, a bit cold in June though, although not as cold as the UK.

Hmm, just be careful with camping if your on your own, stick to organised camping areas, PERSEC first. Mind you their is plenty of safe backpacker and organised campsite with utilities so you shouldn't have any major issues.
There are a few sites around like this one
http://www.aussiecamping.info/
If you click on one of the states under 'destinations' on the left and keep clicking through the regions you come to 'camp sites' and 'caravan parks' for each area.
And I forgot you northern types can't handle the heat ;)
Edit: Also consider getting one of these if you can find a copy
'Discover Australia by Road', is an excellent book if you intend to drive around
