LA Lakers: back to back to back champs under phil jackson. Have the most dominant player in the NBA (possibly in NBA history?). Have the most explosive player in the NBA? (who else can drives down the lane through 2 Forwards and makes reverse layups and draws a foul: no one). Has two other future hall of famers: Karl Malone and Gary Payton.

Detroit Pistons: have not been in the Finals since 1990. Have the 2-time NBA defensive player of the year Ben Wallace. Have Rip Hamilton who just doesn't seem to run out of energy. Has Rasheed Wallace, mr. 20/10 a night. Has a reliable bench. coach Larry Brown has lost to the Lakers under their 3 year reign.

My opinion: Lakers in 5, Why? Rip Hamilton was confined to an average of 10 points while kobe guarding him in the regular season. Shaq vs. 6'9" Ben Wallace?? Karl Malone vs Rasheed Wallace should be a breather since he has consistantly played great defense again MVP Kevin Garnett and previous 2-time MVP Tim Duncan.
