First time I see this type of weapon shouldering applied outside of US forces.
Never seen it done with AKs before.
Why do they hold their weapons like that? Don't they loose it as soon as they pull the trigger? I've seen US grunts hold their weapons like that, too, but I always thought it was just a more comfortable way to look through the scope without the intention of actually shooting.

A reason for such a holding might be that it is hold closer to it's centre of gravity so it's not so tiring for the hands, yet it's still resonably "aimed" and ready to be put into action with only a small movement.

My sentiments exactly!! What is their excuse this time? Hijacked arms? C'mon!!

Its called geography and strategy. Same thing happened in Vietnam arms smuggling from the north to south. Nothing you can really do about it. If your arch enemy was occupying a country that bordered yours don't you think you would try to keep them busy over there so it would be harder for them to attack you? Look at it from Iran's point of view, they think they are next.

Four Hezzies that have been released today, were capured during 2006 campain at Lebanon soil, but the fifth one Samir Quntar is real human beast, in 1979 he was part of small group that infiltrated through Israel-Lebanese border to the sity of Nahariya and began the massacre. he killed a policeman that tried to stop him and entered a house, in the house after killing part of the family that lived there and when got out of ammo he smashed the head of 4 year old girl with AK's stock......sometimes i am really sorry that there is no death sentence in Israel....and as a father of two years old babygirl, i wish i have some time with him "solo" just two of us....

Nice pix!

This is the method of weapon carriage in the urban environment, it is used by many countries around the world.
We just see more US soldiers doing it as they have the most pics taken of them and they have been operating in the urban jungle that is central Iraq for years now.

They hold their weapons in a position to provide all round protection and for instinctive close range shooting.
You can see they have a weapon covering almost every direction, although behind you is often neglected when rushing across open ground.

Hope this helped.

No "Roman salute" here, and no "just looking at pissing of the Israelis", simply the natural keeping of a long tradition of collaboration with the Nazis since the early 30's.
The Hizballah, the Hamas, the Fatah and of course the Islamic jihad, all use this form of salute, with the notable exception of the PFLP (who represents less than 1% of all Palestinian organizations anyway).
From the Great Mufti of Jerusalem flight to Berlin until 1945, helping in the propaganda and Muslim waffen SS recruitment effort, to the well documented "counseling" of Nazi fugitive to Egyptian and Syrian governments at the very least, it is no secret that many of those movements or their "ancestors" beneficiated from Nazi support due to a comunity of interrests and a nascent comunity of ideology, look at the Baath parties.
On the other side, some will say that the "phalanges " or Kataeb are strongly influenced by the Italian fascists, and may still use the "nazi salute", but no clear connection between this movement and the Nazis has been found as far as I know.

American drill & cermonial parades look pretty stupid. The so-called, "Nazi-Salute" is actually quite common worldwide, but the world (including Israel & Zionist sympathisers) would have you believe that goose-stepping is Nazi-like (well, the Russians & most WP countries still do it & it looks good) so why should the world whimper to the whims of those who try to associate anything & everything with the Nazis?

According to IDF the soldiers died during the ambush when the Hamvie was hit with RPG.
After that the HZ carried the bodies in Lebanon territory....

You are welcome:)

The term "captured" was the plan of HZ just to "earn" maximum during the negotiations.....

I heared a couple of times on the radio that one of them (Ehud Golvaser) was killed on the spot at the beggining of the attack by a massive chest wound. he was already dead when they taken him.
Regev was able to get out of the vehicle after the attack started but was shot in the head. maybe he was still alive when they took him, but he didnt have any chance to survive without medical treatment.

Was their initial mission to capture and they carried the bodies back so the local commander didn't look like a moron for killing all the guys he was supposed to capture?

bunch of lowlife dump asses, their day will come, sooooon

Hezbollah's uniforms look too American. Old pattern US fatigues & so on & US Army boots & caps. I wonder why?

Never fancied US fatigues unless I wanted to get killed, I used to wear the old lizard pattern fatigues but in Lebanon 'looking' or 'acting' American is considered fashionable. I guess it's the case for Hezbollah too.

China and Iran use similar camo patterns...I'm guessing it's because it's good camo plus the US Army no longer uses it so you no longer "look American".

What can i say? I am a IDF para officer (ret) and maybe that will be strange but... i do respect ANY warrior that stands in front of me on the battlefield. Hezzys are good warriors, and i can say it for sure (i was wounded twice in firefight with them), the worst thing in the battle is underestimating your enemy, and in the fight i will do everything i can to shot hezzy before he shots me. BUT Samir Quntar wasn't a warrior period. He IS a murderer. And i show no F####ng respect to this ugly ##### ##### ing butthole. I wish i had a chance to put the red dot right between his eyes.

Dear Member,

It does not really matter. Hezbollah has just crossed another threshhold in it war with Israel. Use to be Hezbollah had to prove that they had a hostage alive. All they have to do now is have the body and say nothing except they have them. The parents of the hostages do the rest. This gives Hezbollah and extreme advantage in future hostage nabs.
