Elite commando troops to protect a base, I feel sorry for these guys.
I don't. At least they get to be deployed overseas, on a polically high-profile, feel-good mission, with plenty of publicity opportunities for Albania's willingness to participate in EU stuff. Whether you're elite high speed, or remf, there's bugger all to do in EUFOR CHAD.

Great pix guys!
:D
OK people, I ereased that nudie pic on the first post.
The rationale for adding some 'girls' into the Friday pix was to break up the monotony of the weekday pix in celebration of Friday.
If people want to see all skin then they should look up a **** site, not militaryphotos. We still have to maintain a semblance of class here at mp.net so keep the girlie pix to news editorial content or current events, not file NSFW pix. The next person to post a NSFW pix gets to sit in the penalty box! And don't forget about the 10:1 rule.
I am very soory, but those are not proffesional soldiers. and if my english was a little better i whould exsplain my self.
Please try!

My Dad, who passed on In January of this year at 80, also had a fake right eye. He was always self-conscious of it, and it receeded further into the eyesocket as he aged....There was alot of care to keep it from becoming infected and it takes alot of patience to clean the area...
This guy deserves our respect, understanding and support, not crude comments...HE sacrificed his eyesight for us... HE'S still apparently in active service despite his sacrifice...so he must feel SOMETHING here was worth the sacrifice. Honor him.

I live like 20 minutes from there. It is really cool sometimes to surf across from PAFB runway and have C17, C130 and P3 Training (they do series of touch and goes and fly away).
I also saw these HH60 Pavehawks on many ocasions fly over my head. These Helicopters even rescue surfers and tourists sometimes... because we don't have a local Coast Guards station (or it is too far away).

Seen this medic pouch (one with black cross on top flap) quite a lot lately, is it now a general issued item or just 502PIR?

this guy is very cool!
can anyone explain why is he taking the enlistment oath?
I presume he is in the US Army, so why take yet another oath?
is it a rule?
once again: those who serve to their country with their health and risk their lifes are cool!
but those who continue serving after being injured are the coolest guys!

When you renew you commitment you renew your enlistment, and are sworn again. The enlistment tend to be any where from 2-6 years for first enlistment, then you have to reenlist ?

Me thinks he thinks he don't care what u think...and THAT'S badass
My Dad, who passed on In January of this year at 80, also had a fake right eye. He was always self-conscious of it, and it receeded further into the eyesocket as he aged....There was alot of care to keep it from becoming infected and it takes alot of patience to clean the area...
This guy deserves our respect, understanding and support, not crude comments...HE sacrificed his eyesight for us... HE'S still apparently in active service despite his sacrifice...so he must feel SOMETHING here was worth the sacrifice. Honor him.
He has my respect man...I honor him totally and completely.

Double-amputee sprinter Oscar Pistorius will not compete for South Africa against able-bodied athletes at the Beijing Olympics after failing to make the roster for the 1,600-meter relay team.
Seeing pictures like this give me inspiriation in my life and they also tell me how we who still have our legs should be greatful because these men and women are so encouraging in their determination even when they have fake limbs and eyes and still do things like this...
