Coalition Soldiers Question News Media Following Roadside Bomb North of Mosul
MOSUL, Iraq - Coalition soldiers questioned two news media cameramen and a reporter after a roadside bomb exploded near a Coalition convoy two kilometers north of Mosul June 3.
The media, who were at the scene prior to the attack, told soldiers at the scene they had received a tip to be at that location prior to the attack and they had witnessed the explosion.
There was minimal damage to a Coalition vehicle, a cracked windshield, and no serious injuries.
3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division soldiers requested the media accompany them to a base camp in Mosul to answer questions as witnesses to the incident. The news media representatives left the base camp in the mid afternoon.

Nothing we didnt know before. These cameramen, some probably even American, watch these guys plant bombs. Instead of warning the approaching troops, they sit there and film our guys get blown up instead.
I think they oughta fine the hell outta any American news outlet that does that.
These guys are worse than lawyers chasing ambulances.

Got any evidence of reporters watching insurgents planting bombs or were you just erecting your own straw man?

Evokes memories of these classy journalists:
French weekly magazine, Paris Match, is to publish exclusive pictures of what it says are Iraqi rebels launching a missile attack on a German DHL cargo plane over Baghdad that led to a shutdown of commercial air traffic to the Iraqi capital.
The images were taken by one of the magazine's photographers, Jerome Sessini, who was with the attackers -- described in the accompanying article as "Iraqi guerrillas" -- at the time of Saturday's missile strike, editor-in-chief Alain Genestar told AFP on Wednesday.
Paris Match is an ok magazine, a bit like a french version of TIME magazine, the reporters acted individually IMO

Wow. You guys are just pulling stuff out of your asses here
It was told they had received a tip to be at the location.. Doesn't say they were told there would be an attack, or to get some nice footage. It just says they were told to be there. Stop assuming things.

Can the same be said about the reporters and camera men who traveled with the coalition during the invasion and afterwards? Reporters either being told where to be, or even traveling with rebels or whoever is nothing new.
