It is annoying damnit! Either you trust me or you don't, and if you don't than we need to have a serious talk (and likley part ways).

jealousy is nothing more than a sign that your mate no longer trusts you, and in turn likely doesn't expect trust from you. A weee little bit of jealousy is ok but I am assuming you are talking about major jealousy, on the level of "Why did you just look at her? you think she is better looking don't you? I bet you would rather be with her! fine then go on leave me if you want!" (yes that was an real quote from an ex of mine)

Jealously can ruin a relationship or damage it pretty bad. I think anyone is going to have a certain amount of jealousy in a relationship, it's only natural. When it's to the point where you or your partner is very controlling is when it's bad. I've never really been a jealous type. If my girl wants to go do something, I don't play a game of 50 questions or call her every 5 mins to see whats up. I don't expect her to have only female friends either. I think jealousy stems more from trust issues, because if you have trust in the person you shouldn't have to worry about what they are doing when your not around.. I have had a girfriend before that was so jealous (because I hung out with other girls soemtimes) she got me a pager to keep track of me and when she did that, I was finished with her.\

Anyhow, thats my take on it..

I think it shows insecurity in a person. I'm not a very jealous person. I only get jealous when a guy keeps going on and on about some girl, and I feel threatened. In college, I was totally secure with my boyfriend. I knew he was devoted to me, so I didn't get upset about petty things. I loaned him out to my friends for sorority date nights. He went to strip clubs. But we trusted each other and that was important. But then again, I am a girl and I get a little jealous at times. But, all in all, if you have complete trust, there's no real need for jelaousy.

Depends on the degree....a lil bit is flattering....but too much is annoying.
My ex used to make lil jokes about it...like if we were in the mall and another chick walks by...she would give me the 'don't u dare look at her ass' look, which was funny and she used to get an attitude if she thought i was talking to any woman but her, which was cute....but then she started to get crazy with it...I gave her the password to my email....dumb i kno but i didn't have anything to hide...so i didn't give a fugg. A couple days later i get an email from this girl i kno in australia...mind u i never met or talked over the phone to this girl...we were just pen pals of sorts...she was mad and cussing me (or so i thougt) out...i'm like whoa; so i look at the message she replied to...my ex had wrote her saying... stop writing my man, he don't give a fu** about u, or your job, or how u doing in school , I'm all he needs, find u another **** bi*ch etc. (gotta luv black women when they get mad!)...problem was in the original message all the girl said was hey how r u , i hope u r ok, sorry i haven't talked to u in a while...etc. Nothing even remotely romantic (like i said she is in austrailia, and we never met).

My ex was really possesive....the only women i could talk to without her getting pissed was my mom, her mom, and her best friend (and sometimes she got mad if me and her best friend got along too good). it got old quick and that among other things caused the relationship to die off...i hear from her every so often, I can guess u can say we r friendly but i'll never mess with her again....despite the fact she was probably the baddest (bad as in good!lol) woman i have ever seen

Jealousy = bad

Take the test (http://discoveryhealth.queendom.com/questions/jealousy_men_abridged_1.html)

Results of Your Jealousy Test
Your score = 24

What does your score mean?
Most people experience a certain amount of fear that their loved one could leave them for someone else. After all, these things happen, and when they do, it is usually very painful. You, on the other hand, appear to have a complete lack of jealous feelings. If you were honest with yourself while taking the test, this means that you are extremely secure, strong, and independent. You know that if your partner ever leaves you, you will survive with your self-esteem and dignity intact. You realize that even though you might love your partner very much, s/he is not the only fish in the sea, and that you would eventually find happiness with someone else.

It's really annoying when Mocking get's jealous of me talking with Aryll. :roll: I told him that there's nothing going on with the funny kilt-man, but he didn't believe me. I put up with it because I dig the scary blue hair. p-)
