:bash: woot I'm bringing MuchMusic's show to the forums; I'm looking for "one hit wonders", you know what I'm talking about? :cantbeli: All those artists that released a smash hit so they can never be heard of again. :backhand:
i.e. Prozzack - sucks to be you <-----(remember this tune?)
got anymore? :petting: :slap:
I like Prozzäk :)
The Macarena song :fork: And when it's played everyone still dances to it :P

i don't think sisqo counts for a one hit wonder...after all he was/is part of a multiplatinum r&b group...as for one hit wonders gerardo with the classic rico suave (also a front runner for the worst song ever)...Gloria Gaynor- I will survive, Nu shooz- I can't wait, Shannon-let the music play, Flock of Seagulls- I ran, Kajagoogoo(?)- too shy and i forget the name of the group...but the song was called 'take on me'

Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Might have been a one hit wonder in the US but they hung about the charts over here for a few years. :)

Big Country - In a Big Country
Everything But The Girl - Missing
Siouxsie And The Banshees - Kiss Them For Me
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Sundays - Wild Horses
All frequently charted in the UK on a regular basis apart from the Sundays who lurked around the Indie charts forever.
Jimmy East World - Sweetness
I thought they were good enough to go on to greater things but alas nothing. :(
The two one hit wonders that I loved and that got huge air play in the UK were Toni Basil-Mickey and the Waitresses-Merry Christams?
Some of us lads lusted after Toni Basil not realising that she was about 40 when she hit the charts with "Mickey".

Jimmy East World - Sweetness
Personally I'd have to disagree there, although they havent had any more songs on the radio since Sweetness, they still have a load of great songs that are just as catchy, (I have all their albums and they are on of my favourite bands).
The Vapors - Turning Japanese
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Wall of Voodoo - Mexican Radio
soft cell weren't one hit wonders here..

K, I just want to clarify something here; I let the dogs out, it was me, I didn't expect people to make such a big deal about it. Sorry for what I've caused.

Tough crowd......where I've lived...none of these bands charted more than once....although having said that...Soft Cell's Tainted Love has charted again upon second release...same goes for that "Send Me An Angel" song that comes along every 5 years or so
Does Right Said Fred's song "I'm Too Sexy" qualify as a one hit wonder?
Or is someone going to spaz because they charted a second time in Lithuania? (No offense to any Lithuanians)

:D Right Said Fred followed up with Deeply Dippy a bit of a party fave round these parts, some of these one hit wonders will be resurrected more often than Dracula. :)

Believe it or not, he's a singer...one of the rejects from American Idol. My family went to a concert in NY several days ago and William Hung was one of the performers. They said he got more cheers and screams than anyone else
