Although this question is related to my OSS research, I thought a separate thread would be appropriate since others might want to know what types of plastic explosive the US military used aside from the OSS.

What specific types of plastic explosive were available to US forces in WWII?

I am trying to determine what type of explosives (plastic or otherwise) the OSS used in the war to blow up bridges, railroad track, etc.
I've seen Composition C being mentioned, but also C-1 and C-2.
What is the difference between C-1, C-2, and C-3 plastic explosives?
Was C-4 explosive a post war invention?
I have discovered that no one has yet written a history of plastic explosive.

Please DO NOT send me any recipes, directions, or a list of ingredients. p-)

Many thanks,

GI Gene

dunno. just that c4 is c3 with polyisobutylene (same stuff in bazooka bubble gum).
