Tan or Olive Drab?

Ok I plan on getting a new plate carrier and I don't know if I should get it in Tan or OD?

I have some pictures of the places I play, but I have to wait till later to post them.

Its mostly outdoor woodland in one place, and in the other its outdoors, scattered brush here and there, but in both places, in the sun, I think that tan would go better. Again, I'll post pics a bit later

Unless, of course you play in some military installation like Ft. Bragg, I don't see the reason why not.

use Metal Gear Solid stealth tech. if not, multicam it. and if that doesn't work, tan top w/ OD bottom, or OD top w/tan bottom. versatile man. in all seriousness, i'd go OD and in daylight, find some shade /shadow.

TAN! Tan/Khaki/Flat dark earth is the new "black." You don't see US forces use much OD vests, plate carriers, pouches, etc. Plus, khaki MOLLE vests look good with Multicam pouches.

I bought a Blackwater recently and I really really like it! Plus they are really cheap these days on Ebay

In my opinion, Olive Drab is one color that works good with nearly anything. Looks nice with Woodland, Three-color desert, MARPAT, etc.

Just one hell of a good-all-around pattern.

I really don't know. I was looking at some Eagle replias but can't find any that are at a resonable price. Also some better MBSS replicas or backs and some RRVs. My options are open.

BTW Tall Guy, I know those are Rangers, but their vests are officially Olive Drab.

Ranger Green is a Standard color! Look it up.

And why are you looking at replicas? Buy real and buy once!

I can only agree with this. Quality gear sure costs, but hell it doesn't fall apart, and easily sold when you want to move on something else.

Do you have a refference for the colors? I'm not doubting you but I looked this up earlier and couldn't find anything.

Also, I just really can't afford it. Unless I can buy it used. And someone offered me a used Blackwater Plate Carrier for good money so I'm looking into that. I was also considering an HSS PC too.

Ranger Green and OD are two different colors. Eagle Khaki and Ranger Green gear have National Stock Numbers, not OD.

My Eagle plate carrier is marked PC-W/C-L/XL-MS-RG. The RG stands for Ranger Green...

Both. Buy it in one color then splotch it with spray paint of the other color.

If you have to get one color get khaki. Its pretty much the main color that SOF use, SEALS, PJs, Army SF, all use khaki. The marines have their variant of khaki called coyote tan.

Ranger green is a great color much greyer than OD. Also Ranger green can work in desert and wooded environments. US army rangers use Ranger Green and I've seen pics of Army SF with ranger green or smoke green vests and plate carriers.

You won't be disappointed if you go with khaki. I have a Condor khaki plate carrier and OD plate carrier and just got a Eagle plate carrier with cumberbun in ranger green. so now I want to sell the OD plate carrier.

You can find eagle plate carriers with cumberbun in ranger green for around $159. The problem then is finding all the pouches in ranger green which are pretty pricey.

Khaki & ACU pattern gear-you can see it in some Sandbox pics. I personally prefer Khaki gear because its very versatile. It goes with 3-color desert, ACU, MARPAT, MULTICAM, etc.
