As I myself am in a secret society, I can understand their wanting privacy. The Freemasons are very old and their rituals should be respected. No, secret societies are not for cowards, losers or weirdos, and anyone who says otherwise is justing proving their immature ignorance. Anyone in a secret society (or even not in one) who gives away secrets for attention is a coward and a loser themselves, in my opinion. There are a few catholic groups very similar to the Masons and there is one group the P9? who seem to very similar the Masonic Lodge, in the UK all long held animosity to the Church of Rome by the Masons has been dropped and Catholic members are admitted.
