That's a bloody big job. :) I bet that when this is done, you will bring the next 250 pages of that document. :)
First pages until the index just state it is a handbook for 7,62 RK 62 asssault rifle. I'll help you out, and crack the page seven for you in a minute.

I don't think this is right guys. Thats a lot of pages and a lot of bandwidth for something like this and really now, why does he have to know about a Finnish assault rifle in China? Just saying, something seems a little fishy. Or like my good friend Admiral Ackbar would say...

It shouldn't be hard to pore over it with a dictionary and acquire a translation. -No just joking, that could drive someone to suicide... Finnish language is such that you won't always find the exact same word in the dictionary because the words change form all the time. It's different from any west European language.
But the rifle itself... it's not bad. Back in 89-90, when I was doing military service, I never had any sort of problem with it. I doesn't fail you. I was a turd at everything else in the army, f*cked up pretty much everything, but I knew how to aim. I even ended up shooting in a competition of some sorts. And the RK-62 delivers, it's pretty accurate. Never did I doubt the abilities of the rifle itself when shooting didn't go well.
If I knew I was going to stay in the woods for a whole winter and survive a war, I would certainly prefer this rifle over something more high-tech.
One thing I wonder... why don't they have a ten-round magazine for guys who would more like marksmen and don't need to spray bullets all over like crazy? A smaller magazine would lower the profile of the rifleman while aiming. And you could always carry that 30-round magazine with you as well.
Edit: there's words in this document that I don't know even in Finnish. Like for example, "meistäminen". It's some form of metalwork that I have no clue about. "Valmistettu meistämällä" - I don't know this word in Finnish, and most probably don't know it in English either. You need to be some sort of professional to know these things.

This will help alot more in what you're looking for: http://www.valmetweapons.com/
All you're really gonna get out of a training manual is stuff like how to use it (if you need to be told that after studying an AK, it's not guns you need to study), that site has some more history, plus it's already in English.

Thanks man, I have been to that site, but where most of the information came from exports to the U.S. civilian firearms.
I think this manual should be to look at the Finns themselves, it should be more research value.

It has plenty of information on the general history of the Valmet- what exactly are you trying to find out about it? Also, an army manual, unless Finland has really different manuals, doesn't really go into history so much as telling soldiers/instructors how the weapon works and such, with things like how to sight it in. There's nothing secret about the Valmet, all of it's info is out there for everybody. There's not gonna be anything really new in that manual, unless you're just starting to look at the Valmet.

Not impossible, but if you want a good translation, then the translator needs to have professional-level knowledge of these things. For example, I don't know where Jippo got those terms from - I am not familiar with them in English. I know some technical terminology in English, mostly computer English, also some knife/metallurgy stuff. But I don't know English words that have to do with rifles.
If you find a similar manual for a similar rifle in English or your own language, you might find lots of help there. The RK-62 is similar to the AK-47 and numerous other AK copies and many parts must be similar.

are there other countries in the army forces also use this rifle?
oh, what's the music on the site?
Why not use the NATO weapons in Finland?

Indonesian Coast Guard has a few M76s in 5.56, and Qatar too along with some chromed parade rifles, not sure if they're still in use. The largest foreign use though is by US civilians.

Seems the most appropriate translation is a Valmet's engineer:)

That last page though really doesn't need any translation, it's just things like weight, length, muzzle velocity and such.

The parts have images linked to the names, it should be very easy for anybody to figure what they are, IE lipas=magazine, vaihdin=selector switch, piippu=barrel

The book says 'You are in China, so you couldnt possibily have a real gun. Airsoft is not important enough to translate 100s of pages of Finnish. If you like real guns, join the PLA.'
Why not use the NATO weapons in Finland?
Finland is not a NATO country, and switching from 7.62 x 39 to 5.56 x 45 doesn't offer that much greater capability considering the cost of purchasing several hundreds of thousands of new rifles and a sh1tload of ammo.
Better use those few euros on something more productive than changing the calibre to one already proven less than perfect.
And, no, let's not start comparing the 7.62 and 5.56 now.

Are we going to see Norinco Type 62 rifles on the market soon? :D
The FDF better watch out for any Finnish-Chinese conscripts filling out lost property forms (häväri) for assault rifles.
Rynnäkkökivääri

Well, Finland already bought some Type 56s, maybe China's trying to get the FDF to buy some more crap from it.
I like Calanen's translation though.

Did you know that the Israeli 'Galil' rifle is based more or less on the RK-62? Furthermore, The South Africans produced the Galil under license and called it the R4.
So then, the lineage goes as follows:
AK-47 -> RK-62 -> Galil -> R4.
