Winzip Question

So when you compress files...would it degrade the quality once you uncompress it?

nope, just makes the file size smaller.

I think though that if you want to compress a sizeable file, ie. 500MB+, you'd be better off using winRAR:

It's more effective at compressing larger files while winZIP is more effective where smaller file sizes are concerned. I'm pretty sure that's the case anyway.
