A bit off topic but there was this game on PS1 or 2 called Tiny Tank
and this tank always reminds me of that game... as the game tank has such a cheeky attitude :)

To show you how small the Scorpion is, the gun is only (only, ha) a 75mm ;)

The Scorpion formed the basis of the Scimitar (with a 30mm cannon) and the Sabre (newer, a Fox armoured car turret on a Scorpion chassis) also armed with a 30mm RARDEN. Sabres pack a punch waaaaay beyond their size, despite being not that bigger than a Land Rover...:)

Is that tank still used? How survivable is it against RPGs and other threats?

He has nothing to do, is just a recce tank. Here in Spain is only used by Marines.

The Scorpion was phased out by the Brits after GW1, Sabre (30mm version) is still going strong. Armour protection is light, it's strength lies in it's speed (It's used as a recce vehicle by the Armoured Regiments here), and the fact it's not hugely bigger than a WMIK Land Rover, yet can hand your ass, courtesy of Mr. RARDEN cannon :)

It's also light, therefore easily air transportable.

The original Scorpion was apparently well liked, it's cross country speed was very very good. I'm not sure how good the 76mm gun was though.
