Looks like a Arktis Battlevest. Maybe Jungle battle Vest.

I don't think it is the Jungle vest.

Nah its a WebTex assault vest. You can tell because the colour of the dpm is brighter, then issue PLCE DPM

This is the issue vest:

Miles better than any of the cheap copies.

This was a style used quite some time ago. Some regiment blokes used them in the Gulf:

I think the popular vests are the Arktis variants, All Arms vests, and the issue vest. SASS (Kit Supplier) used to do some nice custom vests, and also sone identical replicas of the issue vest.

I currently use this vest:

It has a nice hydration pouch on the rear, and the two top pouches are detachable, which is handy :D.

I really like British vests and equipment, and the camo pattern is one of my favorites.

I've had this vest for around a year now, still holding up nicely, no rips tears or fading of the materials, still nice and comfy :). Main reason I got this vest though was that I was offered it as part of a pretty nice deal when I was buying some kit, and I needed a vest anyway so I took it :).

Its the LRRP vest, 1604 if anyone was wondering.

Arktis have always been ok with me.

I've got the Advanced Chest Rig and Patrol pack. Both have held up perfectly.

I remember seeing something like that vest in pics of the SAS in The first Gulf.

Vests are a bit overrated in my opinion. Good for when you are in vehicles like if you are mounted recce or anti-tank plt but crap if you are in rifles. You have to lie on your back everytime to load/unload but I guess the individual in the photo spends more time in a land rover than on his belly. In Iraq of course such is the case.

I don't have any experience with Arktis gear but have had no problems so far with Webtex. Only problem is that not all webtex stuff is IRR treated so I wouldn't get a bergen or something big and definitely no smocks and things like that but I don't think they do clothing.
