Friggin' cool -- very scary. I wonder how many friendly fire incidents occurred during these attacks because there was so much AA flying all around that the US must've hit their own ships sometimes.

I've thought the same things before. Not only the stuff being fired towards other ships accidentally, but all the crap falling from the sky.
Very touching. The voice over readings are the last letters of the Kamakazi pilots. The last one is a letter to his young daughter telling her that he has taken her favorite doll and will protect her in the afterlife.
Unpleasant.

Interesting to read these comments.
Maybe the same comments will apply for todays Palestinian suicide bombers on a forum like this in about 60 years time.
Those who send out the Kamikaze-pilots was insane idiots. The war was lost for Japan. And they knew it. The Kamikaze did not change **** for Japan, it was just a waste of human lifes.
As I see it, the Kamikaze even though going for military targets was a criminal act, specially to the Japanese nation itself. I see no honor, I only see lies from the skies.

And shot down many of their own aircraft.

Well I wouldn't blow myself up like that, so yeah I guess those Palestinians do have some big balls - but they're still f*cking idiots.

It is quoted that as many as 50% of the civilian casualties during the attack on Pearl Harbor were from anti aircraft slugs falling back to earth... I can only imagine the unreported casualty rate among the military personel - both in the air and on the surface...
