Has anyone had any experience with these two "customizers"? Thanks

Didn't Wilson Combat just absorb Scattergun Tech? Just for reference. I personally have no experience with either firm's modifications.

Had some experience with a Vang Comp. 870.
Was taking a tacticle shotgun course and the instructor had a 870 with 14" barrel that was back bored and drilled (compensator). It shot tighter patterns then my 18" Benelli. Recoil was quite manageble as well. At the time Vang Comp was just up the coast in Goleta CA, now I think he's in AZ. Never had experience with Wilson's shotguns. Another student was using the instructors gun as a loaner for the course. Smoked him on the speed drills as the Benelli is semi-auto. All in all it seemed to be a nice shotgun.

great stuff on mossys, benelli M1's require special considerations as I believe the barrel wall thickness is less than that of an rem870 or mossy 590

Your right, the Benelli's barrel is to thin to be back bored, but most Europena shotguns allready have this feature and intercangeable choke-tubes. You can get a replacement barrel from GG&G out of AZ.

Unfortunately, at last check, the replacement barrel costs about as much as an entire Benelli.
[Edit] I see the price has come down since the last time I had checked. I wonder if you still need to sacrifice your existing barrel for a conversion, or if the pricing is for a new complete barrel.

Yeah, Scattergun Tech was an independant company before WC bought them out.

Personally, I agree with D.E.Watters, the stock barrel of the Benelli with its intercahngeable choke-tubes is fine. Shot low-recoil law enforcement ammo (made for 2-legged varmint threats) and away you go. Some people have said that low-recoil wont cycle their Benelli's, shoot the stuff all the time and never had a problem.
